"...orikita.... hey horiki.... Horikita!"

Suzune's eyes fluttered open. She rubbed them and sat up in her seat. "Mornin' Kei..."

Kei smiled. "Morning. Chabashira's about to tell us something so listen up."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm on it." Suzune stretched her arms. They didn't stretch that far in the cramped bus seats. She was running off pure adrenaline right now; the spectacle with Sakayanagi left her pretty spooked, if she's being honest.

What has she done in particular to catch the girl's interest? Was it the chess match? Or was it something else?

"You're all probably wondering why you were made to get on this bus." Sensei started. "And I know what you're thinking, no, it is not the uninhabited island exam again like at the start of the year." Sighs of relief were very audible throughout the bus. "An exam of that scale cannot be done more than once a year, so don't worry. However, your next special exam will be held at our destination.

The new special exam that will challenge you of class D- my apologies, class C  is as follows. For the next 8 days, you will be living together with other people in your year level in cabins at a mountain campsite. This exam is called the 'Mixed Training Camp'. Because not only will you be in groups with people from other classes, but from other year levels as well."

""HUUUH?!""

"The second years?"

"And the third years?!"

Chabashira cleared her throat and the bus quieted down. "As I was saying, opportunities to mingle with your upperclassmen are limited unless you specifically seek it out during school. Use this opportunity wisely." She pulled out a bundle of papers and handed it to a student sitting in the front seats. Suzune thanked Kei for passing her one and flipped open the booklet.

Pictures of past graduates, ratings of the campsite, yada, yada, yada... a-hah!

Rules:
- The Mixed Training camp is a group-based exam that focuses on the mental and social development of students. It is held over the course of 8 days and 7 nights where groups of students will experience different activities.
- All students will split up based on gender. After a meeting between all the school years, students will divide themselves up into six groups, no exceptions. The minimum and maximum amount of people in a group is listed below:

For 60 boys or girls in the same year, 8 – 13 students

For 70 boys or girls in the same year, 9 – 14 students

For 80 boys or girls in the same year, 10 – 15 students

These are the upper and lower limits for establishing a group.

Each group must have student/s from at least two or more classes, no exceptions.

- Groups are not allowed to have students randomly withdraw halfway through the training camp. If a student is forced to retire due to either sickness or injury, then the group must deal with the gap and continue on with their activities as if the retired student never existed.

- After the 1st years have established their groups, they will assemble large groups with the 2nd and 3rd years and establish groups numbering estimated 30 to 45 people composed of all year levels.

- All the formed small groups must assign someone from their group as a leader. If not, the entire group is disqualified.

Decision on Outcome:
- The outcome of the special exam will be decided on a comprehensive exam that will take place on the last day of outdoor school.
- The outcome will depend on the 'point average' from the exam results of every member in the six large groups.
