          Sam's POV

My eyes widened as my jaw dropped slightly.

"What?!" I said, standing up, stunned.

"Hold on, hold on, we have some slight evidence already," Mason said,  "their tattoos ca-" I cut him off.

"Tattoos?! You're hiring me because of tattoos?! Thats not evidence! They could mean anything, or nothing at all!" I paused for a second, "I can't do that investigation. It could ruin my life!"

"How can that ruin your life?" Mason asked me, giving me a confused look.

"Seriously? Have you seen their fanbase? Doing this investigation could hurt one of those boys, if not all of them, and if I hurt one of those boys, all those crazy fangirls would have me killed."

"Well that's why no one can know."

"Again, have you seen their fanba-" I was the one to get cut off this time.

"Enough about their fanbase! No one is going to find out unless you want them too," Mason shouted.

With that being heard, I shut up, because he could be right. Although, I don't know if this is a good idea.

"I don't know if this is a good idea," I said slowly.

"We really need you to do this for us, please?"

"I don't know.. When do I need to make my decision?" I asked.

"What time is it?" Mason asked.

    "Uh..3:00pm?" I said, questioningly.

    "You have one hour."

One hour? Did he say one hour? I slowly sat back down, thinking about this whole situation. Is the possibility of ruining my life worth what they're paying me? Wait..

"You never told me what you'd be paying me," I stated.

"You're right. Well if you decide to come work with us on this case, you'll be recieving 500,000 dollars. Does that change your mind?" Curt said.

To be completely honest, it did. I felt a little bad that money could change my whole decision on this, but then I thought again. This is my job, I'm doing this for money. I need money, and $500,000 is a lot.

"You've been quiet for a while now, have you made your decision?" Mason asked me.

I thought for a second, "Yes I have," I finally said.

"Well, what have you decided?" He asked anxiously.

"I'll do it," I said, and their faces lightened.

"Then we need to be going, now."

"Wait, is Rick going to come?" I asked, looking at Rick.

"You're on your own, kiddo." Rick said, smiling slightly at me. With that, me, Mason and Curt walked out the door, going back to their HQ so we could get ready for the mission to start.
