Ominis POV
They stepped out from the breeze of the Floo powder flames, finding themselves just a short distance away from the bustling main square. Ominis didn't even bother reaching for his wand; instead, he trusted y/n to guide him through the lively streets. There was no one else in this world he would trust as much as her.
The initial part of their previous conversation had been nerve-wracking, but Ominis was relieved that he had opened up to her. Nanny had been right, of course. Y/n was not only his partner but also his best friend and he realised that if the situation were reversed, he would want her to trust him enough to share such a thing.
As for the second part, he was still taken aback by how quickly she had agreed to his idea. While he had pondered it throughout the night, he couldn't deny that it was both intriguing and scandalous.
"So, what's the plan? How do you want to proceed once we have the potion?" y/n inquired as they made their way towards the shop.
Ominis replied honestly, "I haven't really given that part much thought yet. My main focus was on telling you about it."
"Um... alright we get the potion, and I can give you some guidance to start with, if you're okay with that. After all, it's my body we're talking about, so I do know a thing or two," she said, seemingly at ease with the topic. Ominis couldn't help but wonder how she managed to talk about it so casually. Maybe she was right about him being a bit prude.
"That would be... useful, I suppose," Ominis cleared his throat, hoping she wouldn't pick up on his unease. He tried to keep his voice calm, but he couldn't be sure about his appearance. People often told him he had an expressive face, not that he would be able to tell.
Then he remembered something he had read. It was considered a bit of a taboo to discuss such things with women, but since he was already about to borrow her body and she seemed so open, he decided to go for it.
"Y/n, I came across something in the library that surprised me. It's about women," he hesitated before continuing.
"And what was that?" she replied, her tone completely non-judgmental, filled with curiosity instead.
"Um... that thing you apparently go through every month," he broached the topic cautiously.
"Oh, that," she replied, unfazed. "What about it?"
"Well, is it really that bad?" he asked, genuinely curious. "I mean, there are pain-killing potions and calming charms... It just seems like a lot to go through every month."
Y/n considered his question before responding, "Hmm, it can be tough for some people. But don't worry, if you're concerned about experiencing it while you're in my body, that won't happen until..." she paused for a moment, "...two weeks from now," she finished.
"Oh, you know, that didn't even cross my mind," Ominis said, the thought now filling him with a hint of terror as he considered the possibilities.
"It would definitely be worse without magic," she added.
He raised an eyebrow curiously. "Is that the thing you talk about with Nanny?" he inquired.
Y/n smirked playfully. "Oh, it's just one of the many topics we discuss," she said, teasingly keeping the details to herself.
"You're not going to tell me more, are you?" Ominis stated, recognizing her secrecy. Before she could answer, they reached the shop and y/n pushed open the door, causing a small bell above to ring, announcing their arrival to the shop owner.
As y/n had predicted, Pippin indeed had a supply of polyjuice potion. He kept it in a section reserved for those over 17 years old, making Ominis suspicions confirmed - they definitely weren't the only ones with this particular idea.
