"hyung, it's mingyu, they want to talk to seokmin." jeonghan looked at the man in question, who had his suit thrown out on the bed and changed into an oversized shirt and trousers that jeonghan had bought for him.

"will you be okay?" jeonghan asks, seokmin looks at him, uncertain on what to do, lowering his head and sighing deeply. "nope, not today, i'll call back when he's ready. i think you need to go to l.a. now, i'll handle them later." jeonghan hung up and turned off his phone.

he looks at the idle seokmin.

jeonghan kneels in front of him, gently asking for his hands to which he gives in.

"forcing yourself onto things to make others happy and ignoring your desires is not right seokmin, in life, there are times that we need boundaries, boundaries that can help us more of a person than a robot that needs to follow what the higher personnel in our life say."

jeonghan rubs seokmin's hands and says, "we both know that it's hard, to live life not knowing who you really are, to live life like a marrionette, manipulated, gaslighted and anything else."

"this time seokmin, you can now heal." he paused, making each words coming out of his mouth a piece of advice that would stick to the man in forn of him, "heal from scars that deepens every now and then," jeonghan added, dropped the other mans hands on his lap and rubbed his shoulders, offering comfort.

"but... i-i don't want to disappoint them.. i need to repay them..." seokmin trails off, avoiding jeonghan's eyes, knowing that his actions will lead to nonsense, "just cause they birthed you in this world does not mean you need to pay them back."

"it was their choice to have you... you never chose to live, they brought you in this world, and it's their responsibility of having you."

"you are not an investment."

"i-if.. if i choose my freedom... will.. they.. be happy?  for me and joshua?" seokmin's eyes welled up, "that's for you to decide, i will never force you to do things that you don't want to," jeonghan smirked. "but... should we try?" jeonghan held out his hand, seokmin smiles and holds the olders hand, jeonghan drags him out of the apartment complex, hailing another uber to take them to the airport as soon as possible.

they arrived on the airport in a hurry, jeonghan stopped on a waiting chair, "sit first," he said to seokmin in which the man followed, "all right, now where the hell are we supposed to go-"

"this is the final boarding call for passengers park jisoo, yoo jeonghan and lee seokmin booked on flight 17HOT to los angeles." jeonghan looks at the speakers, now listening on the announcement, "please proceed to gate three immediately, the final checks are being completed and the captain will order for the doors of the aircraft to close in approximately five minutes time. i repeat. this is the final boarding call for park jisoo, yoo jeonghan and lee seokmin. thank you."

"that's our ride dk, lets go," the duo arrived at the mentioned gate, where they were assisted to their seats, "by the way hyung, how'd you have my passport?" seokmin inquires, surprised at how prepared jeonghan is.

"connections.."

seokmin chuckled and looks at jeonghan, "what? what kind of connection?" seokmin again asks, this time jeonghan did not answer. "listen, the wedding is at eleven o'clock, and it's still eight o'clock, let's just hope we make it on time," jeonghan said to him. "do you know, the travel time from seoul to los angeles is approximately twelve hours right?" seokmin looks at him weirdly.

"yeah, the wedding is tomorrow," seokmin was perplexed, his expression says it all, he scratched the back of his head, in an attempt to piece together each bit of information jeonghan had given him.

"well, luckily you planned your wedding today..." jeonghan noticed the odd expression on the youngers face, "don't think about this too much, you'll get headaches..." jeonghan smiles at him.

~~

it was days ago when the wedding incident happened, seokmin and joshua ended up tying a bond in los angeles, as per planned by jeonghan.

jeonghan can't help but smile at his successful mission, as he was lost in his thoughts, "hannie," his mother called, "mom?" he answered, "are you ready? we're leaving in a minute.." his mother uttered, jeonghan immediately got out of his daydream and starts to prepare to get ready for the day. they arrived to their destination a little later. the mall was an hour open for staff before it opened for the public, giving them ample time to prepare and get what they needed before starting their day.

"you should order your usual coffee now, we're packed by seven.." his mother kisses his hair before entering her office, jeonghan smiles and put his bag on his locker on the staff room. he walks out the locker room, his phone started to ring, "hello?" he answers, "hyung, can we talk?" seokmin, he thought, his forehead narrows as he notices his voice was trembling.

"are you okay?" jeonghan asks, "mom called, she wanted to talk to you..." jeonghan somewhat expected his mother would talk to him, so to say he wasn't suprised, "okay, since i have a lot on my sched today, let's do it now, at scoup coffee, but first tell me are you crying?"

"it's just that you helped us a lot especially me then it seems like you're the one that in trouble," he answers, guilt were painstakingly obvious on his voice, "of course, i literally dragged you out of the wedding and... humiliated them in front of many people, so they deserve an proper apology from the troublemaker. i'll inform mom that i have something to take care of..."

seokmin hung up the phone, jeonghan went to the coffee shop he mentioned. as it was still early, there were few to no customers, so jeonghan ordered his favourite coffee. "hi, good morning, one for yoo jeonghan please.." he said, "the usual? or would you like to try a new one?" the staff taking his order asks, he was a regular customer on the shop.

"the usual for now, thanks.." jeonghan sat in a corner seat, on his phone, waiting for someone, his feet swaying back and forth under the table. "good morning," a man knocked jeonghan out of his reverie, "oh joshuji, where's dokyeom?" the former asks, "ordering..."

"how are you?" joshua asked as he sat opposite jeonghan, "still the same... how's the newlyweds?" he shuffles in his seat, his smile widening.

"i haven't thanked you enough, if you hadn't done what you did, i'd still be crying my eyes out in my room in los angeles," he laughs, jeonghan couldn't help but smile, at long last after years of hoping they ended up together, but happiness doesn't last that long, "hyung... they're coming in a minute,"

just as seokmin gave his husband his order, he dragged him to another table. before he could sit, he went back to his jeonghan hyung, "i'm sorry for the trouble hyung, and thank you, thank you so much for this.." seokmin hugged jeonghan for a second and hurriedly went to his husband.
