"No!" Barry yelled.
The blade slammed into my chest and my power burst out of me as I dropped to the ground. Barry was by my side instantly. "Tina," he said.
I blinked. It was getting harder to breathe. "Barry, Central...City only...needs one...hero," I said between gasps.
His eyes filled with tears. "Don't leave me."
I closed my eyes. "Have...to."
"You didn't have to! I...I love you."
I smiled as my body gave up. When I woke up I was in a white room. "Um, hello?"
"Welcome," said a male voice.
I turned in that direction. "Um, who are you?"
"I'm Fax," he replied.
"Okay, where am I?"
"In between worlds."
"Huh?"
"It is not yet your time to die."
"Um, I'm pretty sure I already died."
"You did. But you get to go back."
"Go back?" This made no sense! "I'm dead. Dead people can't come back to life!"
He shook his head. "You do not understand. You literally aren't supposed to die."
He's making no sense. "Not many people are supposed to but they do. I risked myself to save Central City."
He sighed. "You've been here for six years. I suppose normal people call it a coma. They managed to fix what was wrong. Zoom was unable to absorb your powers and now he is no longer even alive."
I blinked. "Um, did you say six years?"
"I did."
"They still haven't given me up for dead after that long?"
"I believe it is Barry Allan who keeps stopping them." Of course, he was. He waited until I was dying to tell me how he felt. Fax frowned. "Um, he left you hints about how he felt."
I glared at him. "Can you hear my thoughts?"
"Yes."
"Great." I looked at the ceiling. "Okay, so who are they fighting now?"
"The Thinker."
"The who?"
Fax sighed. "Why don't you go see for yourself?"
"How?"
"Close your eyes and when you open them you'll be in your body. You will hear everything going on around you but you will not be able to wake up for twenty-four hours."
I glared. "Seriously? That sucks."
"It is just something you need to do. Oh, and if someone is holding your hand or something you'll feel it."
"Okay, I get it." I closed my eyes and of course, couldn't open them again. But I could hear what was going on and someone was holding my hand.
"I think we should just let her go, Barry," said a female voice. After a few seconds, I placed it as Iris's.
"No," Barry said and the grip on my hand tightened. Okay, he's holding my hand.
"It's been six years."
"She'll come back, Iris. I know it."
True, in twenty-four stinking hours, I mentally grumbled. "Barry, I miss her too but after six years, I doubt she's going to wake up," Iris said.
"Give me forty-eight hours. If she doesn't wake up in that time I'll...let her go."
"Okay."
Huh, that's a perfect amount of time. "Tina, please wake up! We need you. No, I need you."
Then the alarms went off and he was gone. Dammit! Come on! Wake up! My eyes snap open. Yes! I sit up slowly and look around blinking rapidly. Were the lights always this bright? I stood and stayed still. I could feel my power coursing through me. Then I walked to where everyone was at. They were trying to find out where Tim Kwon was at. They were watching a live video of him explaining that Kilgore was all Deacon's idea.
"Got it!" Cisco said.
Barry grabs his suit and starts speeding to the door but stops when he sees me. "Tina?" Everyone whirls to look at me.
I smiled. "Yeah, I woke up." Then I looked at the screen. "Go, Barry. We can discuss this after you save Tin from being killed."
"Yes," he said and ran off.
"You aren't going to go with him?" Caitlyn asked.
"Not sure if that's a good idea," I muttered.
"Why?"
"Because I can't even really see you guys all too well yet."
"What do you mean?"
"Um, six years, remember? My eyes need to adjust."
"You can't see? So if Barry needs help you won't be able to help him?" Cisco said.
I looked at the blurry Caitlyn. "Can I kill him?"
She sighed. "We tried that, but it didn't work."
"Damn."
"Uh, guys? I can't move," Barry said through the comms.
"What do you mean?" Cisco said. "Oh, great. Deacon has control."
I glared. "That's kind of obvious."
"It needed to be said."
Wally got hit with Barry's weapon. "Yeah, well get control of the suite, Cisco!" I snapped.
"I'm trying."
I closed my eyes and grab my suit. "This is gonna suck," I grumbled as I sped away. Barry was about to hit Tim with his power and I tackled him to the ground.
"Thanks," Barry said.
"You're welcome. Nice to know I can save people while everything is completely blurry," I replied.
"Tina, Deacon noticed you," Cisco said.
"Unless you made upgrades to my suit I believe I only have the mic for electricity."
"Nope, I didn't touch your suit."
"Good." I stood. "So now you can fight someone without messing with their technology." Lighting hits me from behind." Ouch!"
"Sorry!" Barry said.
I groaned. "Geez, I wake up and this is what I come back to?" I stand and dodge as Barry's suit fires off another one. "That's it!" I run around in circles and throw a lightning bolt at him. It hits and he flies backward. I kneel beside him. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah." He stands and catches the bullet before it can hit Tim. I stab Deacon with the antibody thing. He screams.
I looked at Barry. "I can't believe I did that while nothing is clear."
He smiled. "You can do anything." Then he kissed me.
"Um, guys? Shouldn't we be getting Kilgore to Iron Heights?" Wally said.
We broke apart. "Um, right," I said.
