Sloan Branwen POV
It was like the world stopped. John stood by side as did everyone else, expressions changing between each other. We all knew we were screwed, there was no way out of this without bringing too much attention to ourselves and putting John in danger.
"Sloan." The quiet voice from the radio pulled me out, "It's your move." The gears turned in my head, the blueprints of Riverbend replayed over in my head lines were drawn and erased coming up with different plans to get us out. But every one of them had the biggest chance of us being caught. A military team had been sent, not security. The military team has been trained twenty times harder than the others, they have been put in impossible scenarios and were expected to find their way out of them.
Anthony would tell me of their training when he was taken to their base with our father. I'd hear of the painful training they'd go through, the rough and unbelievable expectations they were to meet.
We couldn't fight our way out of this one, they were too agile and advanced for us to beat. Best option was to sneak our way out. Yes, they had more intelligent equipment but we were smart; we had people who could blend in with the shadows and attack with the light. Too fast for anyone to notice. "Tell Erik and the rest to drive North of the prison near the border of Ely." The feel of the radio turning off after I spoke tingled my thumbs, "You want them to drive away, from us." Seraphine's voice repeated after. "We'll make it. I need you guys to sneak away to North, with the cars and Group B. We'll follow after."
The plan was sketched out inside my head. The flooring of Riverbend took over my view, the North side near Ely's border came in sight along with the motions of everyone traveling from one side to another making our way out of here. This was just a mishap, just a little something that we can overcome and make our way out of here. Yes the military team was more experienced and had higher level training, but I trusted my team. I trusted the people that sat at my sides, I'd seen them grow and they'd seen me grow just as much.

Our group stayed in the same position, as the plan I'd formed inside my head was laid out and explained. John would be taken by Elijah and James to the nearest exit, while the rest of us attempted to distract the military, pulling away attention from John. John would be driven away from here; we'd be left behind and would eventually catch up. We'd make it by foot, hiding behind tree trunks, blending with the bushes and shadows. But we'd catch up to the cars, and we'd make it past Ely's border in a whole other territory.
John would be safe from an unfair and wrongly accused trial. He'd be able to leave the kingdom and be safe, ready to come back once everything has settled. Once we had liable, honest evidence to prove to the court that John had no involvement in The Faded Resistance.
The plan was set in motion. Everyone's roles were laid out and explained. Weapons drawn and ready to be thrown at any given moment.
All of our eyes met one last time before we broke off into our designated roles. Waters eyes met mine in the hassle. The clear icy look in his eye softened at my view, almost as if they spoke thousands of words in my presence.
We all went our separate ways, sneaking past the guards, to the steel door exits. John is surrounded by each of us, following our footsteps and holding his breath the same as we are.
The wind that came from the doors opening echoed throughout the entire prison, and sent shivers down our spines. The sound of their guns rattling against their uniform and each other shook the ground, they made their presence known. They wanted us to be warned, to be scared, and to surrender from the anxiety. We walked within the walls near the back towards the electrical system; where John would then be taken out to the trucks and driven to the border.
