𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐍 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀 rather humid state as it graced the people that walked within its borders with the perfect summer weather. Olivia was sat in Jacks rental as the air conditioning was on full blast hitting the couples faces as they both adapted to the warmer weather. He swore that the girl was in a competition with herself to wear the smallest amount of clothing possible as she was in nothing more than some shorts and an old green crop top as her freshly straightened hair was pushed back by a grey headband. The boy wasn't complaining though, cause she was hot.

He knew that he would be up for a lecture if his mother knew the thoughts that went through his head, but his argument was that they were all about his wife so that made them okay.

Olivia's eyes never left the passenger side window as she took in the surroundings as she had never gone out of Detroit when in Michigan. The state was really pretty in her opinion, she also thought it was sweet that Jack made a whole detour to show her where both his brothers went to college.

He would have gotten a snarky comment from her about him being the only Hughes sibling that didn't go, but as she never went to college either she couldn't talk.

The golfer was mentally going over names as she had to remember the immediate family on top of Jacks friends who were there and Luke's friends who he had apparently invited. But in the midst of her final remembering session she felt eyes on her "what?" She asked looking around at the boy through the top of her sunglasses.

Jack smiled not phased that he had been caught "just taking in the view," the comment rolled off his tongue since he found it so easy to flirt.

Rather than finding it cute like most woman probably did Olivia found it irritating "shut up," she grumbled as she rolled her eyes sending him a glare.

That caused the American to let out a laugh "what was wrong with that answer honey?" The boy let his lips form a pout as he was now intentionally pushing her buttons.

The Canadian swore that she would have jumped out of the car if she couldn't see the lake quickly approaching "can you promise you'll behave for the week?" Her tone was serious as she didn't think that she was going to survive the two weeks.

The hockey player placed his hand on his chest "I'm nothing but a doll for you," he would have been lying if he said that he didn't enjoy the way she took the bait every time he said anything.

But this time she just looked out of the window thinking that if she stared hard enough at the different shades of green leafs, Jack would learn to keep his mouth shut.

The Hughes lake house was a place that Olivia had heard plenty about. From the late night movie watching sessions to the long boat rides where the boys would attempt various stupid activities. Jack held the lake house in a special place within his heart so when he was forced to share it with his wife, he wasn't the most impressed.

It also didn't help that given the influx of guests at his and Quinn's lake house -because the eldest Hughes boy did not know how to say no to his youngest brother- Jack, his friends, and his wife were all staying in his parents lake house. It was next door to his own and they were only there for the first week, but still the boy felt an overwhelming sense of pressure to not make his parents aware of the fact that he did not love his wife.
