"Nietzshe once said, 'Man is as a rope, stretched on between animal and superhuman. A rope over n abyss. It is a dangerous crossing, a dangerous looking back, a dangerous trembling and halting.'" Dad droned, then closed his book and glanced at Vanya who blew a whistle. All six of us ran up the stairs, me and Five were in the back Luther and Diego pushing to the front. Reginald droned on as we ran quoting some guy like Hitler or something, I truly didn't pay attention to most of what he said. I grinned at Five and he grabbed my had teleporting us to the front as we ran.
"That's not fair! Five and Eight are cheating!" Diego yelled. I smirked at him as he said this.
"They adapted." Reginald said looking down on all of them. "Yeah Diego" I say smugly. "We adapted."

All of us were getting tattoos... Well except Vanya.. Klaus and Allison were standing, crying and holding there wrists. Diego was getting his, Mom tried to put a hand on Diego's but he jerked it away. I felt my hands start sweating as dad called me up to get mine next. I swallowed down a wimper of fear. I glanced back at a nervous Five, Ben, and Luther.
My hands were shaking, "Number Eight I said come sit down." He commanded, frowning at me. I sat down in the chair, then a blue flash of light and Five was beside me, Dad glared at him, "Number Five. Sit down." Five ignored Dad and said in a low voice to me, "Squeeze my hand when it hurts."
"That's going to be the whole time dork." I managed to say, my voice trembling. "I know, just do it." Five murmured back. The moment I felt the needle touch down I squeezed Five's hand, I heard him wince slightly but he didn't say anything.
After I finally finished it was Luther's turn, I quietly thanked Five, then I saw Vanya on the stair case with a marker, I felt guilt twist in my stomach and went over to where she was ignoring Dad yet again.
"Trust me, you don't want the tattoo" I said to her softly, drawing an umbrella similar to the rest of ours on her wrist. My wrist was still red and in pain from the needle. "Thanks Y/n." Vanya said, "Anytime." I said, hugging her and going back down where the others were.

Five was digging through the cabinets, fridge, anything that may be able to store something. Looking for coffee, of course. Allison walked in asking where Vanya was. "She left like an hour ago or something?" I say at the same time Klaus says "Oh she's gone." For some reason he's also holding a guitar?
"That's unforunate." Five said, walking over to the table where Klaus and I were sitting.
"Yeah." Allison says, probably thinking he was talking about Vanya, not his precious coffee addiction.
"An entire square block. Forty-two bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, but no, not a single drop of coffee." Five remarks, sounding annoyed. I give a huff of amusement.
"Dad hated caffeine." Allison said, "Well dear old daddy hated most of the good stuff anyway." I said leaning back in my chair and staring at the ceiling.
"Well he hated children too, but he had plenty of us!" Klaus says with a laugh. Then he glances back at Allison.
"I'm taking the car." Five says and starts walking, he glances back at me with a questioning look, I nod and get up to follow him.
"Where are you going?" Klaus says putting the guitar down. "To get a decent cup of coffee." Five answers, I'm now at his side.
"Do you even know how to drive?" Allison questions, "I'll figure it out sooner or later." I say, then realize the question was for Five.
