When starting an art style, you can use inspiration. Even though alot of people say you can't you still can if you need it! I personally take inspiration from chibi styles and gacha club.
you also can draw what I call a "test oc" a test oc is an oc that represents a rough sketch of your style. You can also draw some scenery to help with drawing backrounds.
