Yan was having a dream. It was a pretty pleasant dream in her opinion, as it was the first dream she had in months which were not about Jun or Mari. Instead a cloaked stranger approached her.
The stranger was hooded, surrounded by a mysterious essence, but Yan had no fear instilled. Instead, she felt safe with this stranger. The stranger said nothing. It was silence, but a peaceful quietness Yan had in ages. The stranger grabbed Yan's hand and dragged her as he opened a portal.
Yan knew she was being kidnapped but she still want scared. The stranger's hand felt warm. Yan always had a liking to strangers as they were the ones who did not seem to dislike her. They went through the portal, swimming in a weird space. Yan liked the place. For the first time, envy left her heart and she no longer feel the ugly emotion that always accompanied her. She felt relaxed and showed a calm smile ——— which she was surprised she did. I am not myself, she thought. Still, I like how this new self is. Jealousy is a very nasty thing and Yan was glad she got rid of that. It felt like a heavy weight lifted from her shoulders.
The whole place was glowing with a faint golden light. It made Yan feel safe and she couldn't be more curious about what happened. "Where are we?" she asked. The stranger did not answer. "Where are we going?" she asked again. This time, the stranger answered. It was a cold but soothing voice. "To the real world," the stranger replied. This person must be mad. Yan thought. Wasn't I already living in the real world? Or does that mean I am gonna wake up? She didn't want to wake up.
She wanted to ask more but the stranger did not answer. The stranger took her to another portal parallel to the one she entered. He tried to shove her into the portal. Yan did not budge and desperately tried to grab something. She accidentally tore open the stranger's hood. It was a pretty face. The stranger stopped for a moment and immediately put his hood on again.
"Can I not go?" She asked. "Your story is getting destroyed as the author given up on you," the stranger answered. Destroyed? Story? Author? Is he saying that I'm a character? Yan thought. "I can only save one character and now you're going to the real world to live another life." he said. Yan didn't know what she was thinking back then and begged him to save all other people from her story, as he said so. My brain is wrong. She told herself. If this is me , I'm definitely happy about leaving and leaving that Mari-soo to get destroyed.
The stranger could tell she was deep in thoughts and took the opportunity to shove her into the portal. There was a spinning dazzling light as Yan fell. As much as she was scared, she actually felt a bit relieved to leave the story. She didn't need to be the antagonist. She can be herself. Whoever she wanted. Still, she was a bit worried about everyone else in the story. My brain not functioning properly... she told herself.
The light continued and Yan landed in a thump. On a road. With people and weird light things which kept flashing red, yellow and green. She didn't know where she was. Yeong Yan felt scared.
