Eclipse Series #1: Lost in Love

We used to be in a band at school. Kaming 5. We are the "Eclipse". Eclipse because we are aligned even though we are all different human beings with such different personalities just like the moon, the Sun, and the Earth.

Lahat ng estudyante na pumupunta sa mga performances namin, masayang uuwi. 

All our memories together happened as a band. 

"It was just two lovers" Lewis started singing and the crowd went wild.

Golden Hour by JVKE  ang isa sa pinakamagandang kanta na kinanta namin as a team.

"Sittin' in the car, listening to Blonde" he continued. "Fallin' for each other"

"Pink and orange skies, feelin' super childish" Luna sang next. "No Donald Glover, Missed call from my mother"

"Like, "Where you at tonight?" Got no alibi" Lewis sang again.

"I was all alone with the love of my life" I sang the next part and the audience cheered.

"She's got glitter for skin, my radiant beam in the night" Lewis sang. "I don't need no light to see you"

You slow down time
In your golden hour (oh)" Lewis and I sang in unison. Nakakuha naman kami ng cheers mula sa mga fans. Si Luna naman ang nag-harmonize sa 'oh' na mas nagpaganda sa chorus part.

"We were just two lovers" I sang.  "Feet up on the dash, drivin' nowhere fast"

"Burnin' through the summer" Si Kuya Leo ang kumanta for the first time on a live audience kaya naman natuwa ang mga fans. "Radio on blast, make the moment last"

"She got solar power, minutes feel like hours," Luna sang again. "She knew she was the baddest, can you even imagine, fallin' like I did?"

"For the love of my life," Ate Venice sang next, fist time din niya na kumanta ng live kaya mas lumakas ang cheers ng fans.

"She's got glow on her face, a glorious look in her eyes," Kuya Leo sang once again. "My angel of light."

"I was all alone with the love of my life" I sang again

"She's got glitter for skin" Lewis sang. "My radiant beam in the night"

"I don't need no light to see you" Kuya Leo, Ate Venice, and Luna sang in unison.

In your golden hour (oh)" Me and Lewis sang this part, while the three harmonized us.

It was magical. 

Everything was fine, we are altogether performing like we always did.

Supporting each other, complementing every flaw we have. 

Well, fights are never gone in any relationship. But with every bickering and fight, our bond just grew stronger. 

That's what we were. It almost seemed so perfect.

Pero hindi ko naman inakala na hindi ito magtatagal.

"Lewis, love, you got to slow down now," I said as I feel that we were going too fast on the road.

It's already past midnight and we are having a late-night drive. 

It's not the first time we did this. We do this when we want to rewind or refresh. 

Ramdam ko ang aura niya. Alam kong galit siya, probably another fight with his parents.

"I know how to drive, love," he said, coldly.

"Well, at least slow down a bit. Don't you think we're going too fast?" I said.

Huminga siya ng malalim at nagsabi, "Fine.." I thought we'll finally slow down but we didn't.

He just held my hand through the handle and squeezed it tight. He's assuring me over something I can't figure what.

"Love," I called but he didn't respond. Instead, hinalikan niya ang kamay ko at may binulong na hindi ko naman masyadong narinig.

We're still on the road, driving fast.

Nung padaan na kami sa intersection, may nakita akong ilaw at alam kong truck iyon.

"Love!" sigaw ko nang parang sasalpok na sa amin yung truck.

He hugged me tight as if he was trying to protect me.

"I love you, Cazidy. Forever." he whispered to me by the ear.

Sa lakas ng pagkakabangga sa amin, umabot kami hanggang sa isang poste at iyon ang huli kong nakita.

I squeezed his hand tight and whispered back.

"I love you too, Lewis. Forever." I whispered even though I was too weak to move anymore.

Then, everything went black.
