It was just like any other day. Waking up in the morning, sitting down to study, freshening up and then leaving for college. Well earlier it was the school but now our Miss Yn was in college. So the building where she went was only replaced... rest of it remained same as before.
It was her first day in college. She was excited but one could hardly say. Her younger sister came jumping into her room, "Hey, isn't it your first day in college? You must be so excited, right? Ahhhh... I have to wait for two more years before I can go to college! Sad, isn't it? "
"Calm down Soojin, it's just like any other day. Can you even imagine how much more you need to study in college? I'm having a fever just thinking about it."
The younger scoffed, "Can you, for one fucking day, stop talking about studies?" Yn looked at her in disbelief. "Did you just-"
Soojin realised what she said and covered her mouth, "Oh no, I didn't mean to curse... I'm so sorry. It was just a slip of tongue!"
"Things that you don't speak normally don't slip out off your tongue Soojin! You curse a lot in school, don't you?" The elders voice was stern.
Soojin looked down and nodded slightly. Yn shook her head and said, "It doesn't make you cool, Soojin-ah." She said and went to take a shower.
"Oh my so so so moral sister... I hope one day you'll find someone just like you... always giving lectures." Soojin said and dropped on the bed.
After taking a shower and freshening up, Soojin and Yn left for school and college together. The college was a 5 minute walking distance from the school, which too was not far from their house.
"Have a nice day, Sis." Yn waved at her little sister while the other kissed her cheeks. "Goodbye and have a great first day of college. And don't forget to find your Prince Charming!"
"Aish! Go now!" She blushed and pushed the younger into the school premises.
Yes, Song Yn was the nerd of her school... yet she had a crush on her classmate -Jeon Jungkook. All her life, she studied with him in the same class and she held feelings for him in her heart since long but could never dare to tell him. She feared rejection. Why would such a popular boy as Jeon Jungkook like her? She knew it and that's why she feared to be humiliated.
Only Soojin knew about it because anyway, she didn't have many friends. But now there was hardly a chance Jungkook would be studying with her in the same college... she knew he wouldn't be there.
Walking past the black gates, painted in yellow at places, she looked at the beautiful building before her. Her dream college...

Her heart was filled with awe and her eyes with tears. How much she worked hard to get admitted to one of the best institutions in the country and here she was standing in front of her dreams. She was always excited for this day but being a shy and quiet person, she couldn't express it.
She wiped off her tears and walked in gracefully. She was the best among the newcomers in the college. Adjusting her glasses, she looked around. Everyone was busy in their own world and hardly did anyone have the time to look at her.
She smiled and moved on. As she was passing by the basketball court of the college, a whimper of pain left her mouth. A basketball had come flying towards her and hit her on the head. She looked in the direction from which the ball had come.
A group of boys came running towards her but she was shocked or rather pleasantly surprised to see the person who led the group. It was none other than her life long-crush Jeon Jungkook.
He walked up to her, taking steps full of swagger. He was dressed in a light blue t-shirt and jeans unlike the others who were in their shorts and jerseys.
"Hey, look who's here... Miss Song Yn." He said but his tone was clearly a mocking one. For a moment, she felt hurt but she wiped it off. Everyone talked to her like that all her life. "Yes, Jungkook... it's me, your old classmate. Nice to meet you again."
"Oh, not so nice for me, though. Why didn't you get your ugly self admitted somewhere else?" This was the height of it. It wasn't like Jungkook ever behaved nicely with her. But today he got the guts to insult her. What a beginning of a day.
She replied firmly. "Jungkook, I'm here because I deserve to study in this college more than you, you see?" She may have a crush on him, but her self-respect was more valuable to her. She walked past him while he stared at her disappearing back.
"This girl didn't change a bit." He said smiling to himself while the others looked at him curiously. "Hey, why are you smiling, boy? She just insulted you!"
"Don't worry Hyungs, that wasn't even an insult. She just protected her dignity and I love it when she does that." He smiled again and the others smirked. "You're so in love, young boy!"
"Nope." He denied. "I'm not in love. That's nothing regarding love. I can't love a nerd like her. I just want to check if she knows how to protect herself if someone insults her."
"Deny it now... one day you'll definitely realise what you hold for her." One among the older boys said. "What's your name, young boy?" He asked.
"Jeon Jungkook, and yours?"
"Min Yoongi. Nice to meet you and I hope to see you more in this court. You're an awesome player." The elder smiled putting out his hand for a shake.
The younger took it. "Thanks Hyung. See you around!" So saying he ran off. The older boys in the court smiled and laughed. "Silly boy."
