Chapter 2: Dear Diary

Dear Diary
It's been two weeks since orientation, I've learned a lot about them now. Rome and Ethan are best friends, they met in high school. They agreed to go to the same college together, and because Ethan had a scholarship and Rome' parents are quite wealthy they both made it in and decided to dorm together. They told me it's fate that they got assigned a three bedroom dorm.

We've all gotten close and I'm really happy I got this room. To be honest, I've sensed something recently. There's a strange tension between the two of them, when I leave the room and come back they tend to be very close but immediately back up when they see me. When I watch them I see them look at each other with a look I've seen before but can't quite place. I think they may be in a relationship? I'm not sure yet but something is definitely going on.

I don't mind it honestly, I just wish they would tell me.

Besides that life has gotten better. I haven't seen anyone here that isn't nice. The only issue is my love life. My old town was not the best when it came to being gay, I was ridiculed and mocked for existing. My friends were always nice and supportive and it was great, but being the only gay guy at school sucked. I was more susceptible to harassment from other men specifically. It was very scary and I'd give anything to forget it happened.

My point is that there weren't very many other guys like me there, and the few that were may not have even known. A few may have even been the ones to bully me. It's behind me now though, and I'm not gonna think about it. I hope it's different here, I've always loved the idea of romance but it never seems to find me. This time feels different though, I feel there may be something here for me.

I guess that's all for now, I've never been this happy before and I hope it gets better from here!
