The Rumors

It has been a month or so since Lan Zhan left his clan to go live with Wei Ying and the Wen family. "Wei gongzi, did you hear?" Wei Ying who is working with Lan Zhan to teach little Wen Yuan how to use a wooden sword, he turn to look at grandma Wen, "hear what Grandma?"

"While we were out selling our vegetables we heard the people in Yunmeng town talk about how the Jin clan is looking for you. The Yunmeng town people hates the Jin clan because they are spreading rumors at how you are walking a dark path and that you are dangerous."

"It sound like the Yunmeng town people doesn't believe what the Jin said about A-Ying," come Wen Qing who is walking toward them. "Of course, people here, they like me since I have help them out many time. I think I know why he is doing this." Wei Ying pick up Wen Yuan to take him over to where the stone table and stone chair is at.

"Why?" Lan Zhan asked as he wiped the sweat off of Wen Yuan face. "He is after my Yin Hufu." This got Lan Zhan to stop what he is doing as he look at Wei Ying, "Your Yin Hufu?" Asked Lan Zhan.

"Mn. It is a powerful tool, except for it won't listen to anyone. It doesn't belong to anyone. I can only control it is by this flute." Wei Ying pointed at the flute near his waist.

"A-Ying, I think you should destroy that thing. It is not safe to have it around you," Wen Qing said with a concern and worry in her voice. "I know Qing Jie." 'I know but....This Yin Hufu is connected to me. If I destroy it, my body will get destroy as well.'

That night while everyone is sleeping Wei Ying left his room to head outside, "there is a storm heading this way," Wei Ying turn around to see Lan Zhan walking toward him. "Lan Zhan."

"Wei Ying this afternoon I noticed how quiet you were, especially when Wen Qing ask you to destroy your yin Hufu. Is there something else?" Lan Zhan asked as the two of them went over to the table and chair near the lake.

"You know that you can tell me anything Wei Ying....we did said that we are each other soulmates remember?"

"Lan Zhan?"

"I won't get angry at you, I will help you as best as I can because......" Wei Ying can see Lan Zhan ear turning red. "Because you what Lan Zhan?" Lan Zhan pluck up the courage to tell Wei Ying how he feel about him.

"Because....I....I...love...you."

Wei Ying eye went wide as his heart skip a beat. He even have blushes appearing on his cheek. "I...ummm...." 'How in the world do i respond back to Lan Zhan?'

"Is okay if you don't understand your feeling yet. I can wait. But can you tell me why you were quiet this afternoon?" Lan Zhan changed the subject this way Wei Ying can answer him.

"The thing is Lan Zhan, if I destroyed the Yin Hufu, there will be a back lash."

"A back lash? What kind?" Lan Zhan is afraid of Wei Ying answer, "is my body get destroy along with it."

"Isn't there another way to do it?" Wei Ying sigh, "if there is then i would already destroyed the Yin Hufu by now." Wei Ying put his hand on top of Lan Zhan hand, "don't worry Lan Zhan, until we find a way, we don't have to destroy this Yin Hufu yet. We will find a way, okay?"

Lan Zhan can only nodded his head, "by the way, did your brother wrote back to you?" At this question Lan Zhan went quiet. "I take that as a no. Is alright, you still have family here."

"Mn."

"Then let's head to bed, we have plenty of thing to do tomorrow." So the two of them walk back to their own room.

The next day it was Wei Ying, Lan Zhan, Wen Ning and Wen Yuan turn to leave the house to go sell their fruit and vegetables. "I'm glad you wear something different Lan Zhan, this way no one will know that you are the honorable Hanguang Jun of the Lan Clan." Wei Ying grinned at Lan Zhan.

"Ying gege, we are ready to," Wei Ying and Lan Zhan turn to looked at Wen Ning and Wen Yuan, "Right! Let's do our best to sell all of them okay?"

"Okay!"

"Here put this on!" Wen Qing throw Wei Ying a hat with a black veil on it. "If you wear this no one will know is you. You people in Yunmeng town will recognize you," Wei Ying put it on since Wen Qing is right.

"Right, let's go."

When all of them arrive at Yunmeng town street place, they set up their cart to a place where a lot of people can buy from them but also a place where Wen Yuan can seat down to play with his toy or eat his food.

While they are there Wei Ying and Lan Zhan continue to hear the rumors around them. "Did you hear?" One of the vendor talk to their neighbor. "Hear what?"

"Sect leader Jiang went to Jinlintai, he tell sect leader Jin that if he won't stop spreading rumors about Wei gongzi then he won't let Jiang guniang to married his son. Even though it is Jiang guniang decision, Sect leader Jiang is the Jiang sect leader, he can stop the wedding as he please."

"I'm glad that sect leader Jiang is standing up for Wei gongzi. There are some people who walk down a dark path but they aren't that evil nor they are mean to those around them. They are still the same person."

"I agree."

"What do you think Sect leader Jiang will do?" His neighbor asked as they help the costumer packing their thing. "He will stop the wedding of course. Beside, doesn't Jiang guniang see Wei gongzi like her own didi?"

"She does. She treated Wei gongzi more better then her other family members."

Hearing all of this Wei Ying couldn't help but smile, "You are well love here Wei Ying."

"I know." 'It is good to know that there are people who still believe in me.'
