unexpected break up

I saw it coming,
This Break up blindsided me,
It hit me like freight train
And left me feeling empty.

I thought we had forever,
But forever was not meant to be,
You said goodbye easily,
And left me on my knees.

I was'nt ready for this,
To lose the one i love so dear,
It's like a nightmare come to life,
One i can't help but fear.

I thought we'd be together,
Till the end of the time it self,
But now I'm left with memories,
Of a love that's on the shelf.

It's hard to understand,
How love can end so suddenly
But sometimes lifw has it's own plans,
And were left with only memories.

So I'll pick up the pieces,
Of my broken heart and soal
And try to find the strenght to move on,
From this unexpected hole
