Sam's Pov-

Wow, can my life be any better? My dad died when I was 2 because my 'mom' said that he died from a heart attack. Now I'm stuck with an annoying mom that constantly abuses me 24/7.. ah, I don't even know what they mean when they say "enjoy your childhood" because my childhood is about abuse, getting me into the state of depression, self harming, name it all. My mom always favorites Melanie because of her straight A's and good reputation, while I have a criminal record on many states, oh and my highest grade I get on my card is a A-, I mean my friends appreciate my grade, but at the same time they could be pitying me.. We may not know, but on the bright side, I never fail my classes.

"Samantha, come down here and eat breakfast, I dont want you to be late again! Be more like Melanie!" Pam yelled from downstairs.

Ugh I hate when she calls me that, why, why do I keep getting compared with Melanie. We both have different lives.

"Im coming!" I said while running down the stairs.

"Sam, meet my new boyfriend Greg, Greg, this is Samantha, my daughter." Pam said lacing venom at the last word.

Ouch. I can hear the sarcasticness in her voice and it's killing me.

"Hi." I said coldly, and received a hi back

Carly's Pov-

"Where's Sam? Is she late again?" I said, giving a hint of sadness because of my tone.

She's been late to our meeting spot everyday before school starts, is she ignoring us?

"I think she'll be here soon, dont worry:)" Freddie said.

"Hey carls, is it just me or Sam is like being totally quieter since" Freddie blurted out

"Well, I notice that and seemed to be less energetic.. Maybe she's going through something?" I said with a worrying tone.

"Maybe.. should we ask or it's not the right time?" Freddie said.

"Let her speak because we may be right or wrong" I said and Freddie agreed.

Sam's Pov-

FINALLY, after a 30 minute walk, I'm here at school!! I could really use some water though.

"Sup carls, hey nub sorry I'm late, my mom didn't drive me because she has a new boyfriend" I said acting happy.

"Its alright Sam. Let's go to class, we dont want detention for being late.. haha" Carly said with ease.

I feel really drained after I walked like 100 mile, ok! Im over exaggerating but cheez that was a long walk. I just zoned out while Carly and Freddie are talking.
