'Sir!', Aakash shouted at warden. He went and hugged him and turned him to other side. Within in fraction of seconds we flew till the wall. Aakash suddenly me and he was still hugging warden. I didn't get it why he was doing so but I still took his call. Then my mind struck, it was probably for us to hear their conversation.
'Hey, why are you hugging me? Leave me!', warden shouted
We were all seeing this by hiding near bushes.
'Sir, I know about your story with the girl's warden. But sir, today she was asking about you... I know her sir, she worked in our school before...', Aakash was making up a story.
'Sir, it's already 9.18pm, you better go and meet her', Aakash said finishing his polished story
Our warden is not like the other wardens in other hostels. He was young person. Not so young as us but he kinda belonged to 28-32 age group. He wasn't married, but everyone in the hostel knew about his back-story and also a secret love-story. Ofcourse it was a secret to him, ironically everyone knew that. So our mastermind "Aakash " took his chance and involved our warden's love story for the execution of our plan.
'Oh, is that so? What did she tell?', warden asked while Aakash had a grin on his face.
'Sir, she asked you to meet her at 9.20pm, she wanted to talk to you about some important news....', Aakash said. He was using all his skills.
Suddenly an insect went past us and the girls yelled out of fear. Both Hari and I closed their mouths. On touching Nithya my old romantic tune started playing again. Suddenly warden entered my dream and my tune cracked in between and I removed my hand. Technically it wasn't touching, it was as if she kissed my palm as her lipstick had stained my palm. I didn't mind that much then as of now we were in trouble because of girl's yell. I looked from bushes, the warden was going the main entrance gate where Rohan was there. I looked another to find out Rohan, while he was busy playing chess with security-guard.
'You are rocking man!', I messaged Rohan and until by then warden had passed out from entrance gate. We saw this as a chance and helped the girls to jump. I lifted Nithya and Hari lifted Priya.
'You seem to look thin but you aren't!', Both of us said as our hands were hurting. I pushed Nithya up by catching her thighs making her to sit on the wall. Hari was still unable to balance Vidhya, so I gave a helpful hand to Hari.
Both the girls jumped at a time and ran as fast as they could to their rooms.
'Uff!', Both of us gave a sigh of relief as our foregoing adventure ended.
We went to Rohan and said his mother had called twice, we said so as to make him understand that the girls went off.
'Oh! My mom! Sorry uncle, I'll play this game with you afterwards!', Rohan said. 'He should receive an oscar', I thought.
We thanked Aakash and as promised, I explained him the story. We went back to our rooms and I checked my phone. There were some messages from Nithya in whatsapp.
Nithya: Maddy, you guys just rocked. Loved the way you guys handled the situation❤️. Because of Aakash's story, even our warden wasn't present. Me and Vidhya ran to our room. Actually we both are roommates. And seriously guys, thanks a lot for your help. If you weren't there, we were gone 😁 . We are friends now right? 😉
Me: No mention yaar. It wasn't anything, our time just went on good today 😉. And we are friends already 😜. No "ifs" and "buts" for our friendship.
On the otherside even Hari was busy chatting with Vidhya. Rohan slept by then.

'As I said we have lab today...', Professor was saying.
Nithya and I were busy cracking jokes at the Professor.
'Silence!' Professor shouted pointing us. We became quiet.
'I have written all numbers on these chits and everyone has to take one chit. Whoever gets the same number they make a group. I have written in such a way that there are only two chits for each number.' Professor said and most of them gave a half nod.
'Ok, I'll explain you again...', He said and repeated the same again.
This time everyone nodded.
'Now, go on', He said and allowed to take chits.
Everyone of us took. We saw our numbers and began to call whoever got the same number.
After few minutes, most of them got their partners and arranged themselves.
'I got no.3', I was shouting
'Me too!', some similar voice said. It was Nithya again. She was happy and gave a small hug.
'It's really cool to get you as a partner! I was imagining some asshole would be in your place...', She said and chuckled
I had no answer and assumed I wasn't an 'asshole' to her.
'Arrange yourselves!', Professor shouted
Everyone obeyed it. Irony was everyone except us got their own genders as their partners, like boy got another boy, girl got another girl. We were the only ones with opposite gender. I didn't have a reason to celebrate as of getting most beautiful girl as my partner or to regret for getting her and making a new opening for our relationship. I hated that, my heart didn't. My heartbeats increased whenever she touched me. It was a friendly touch from her side maybe, but my heart wasn't accepting that. And Aakash's partner on the other hand , 'He was a different kind of person. Most of them in the class called him gay. He never minded it'. Everyone except us were happy. Even Nithya was happy until she saw other ones. She kinda felt distracted. She was in state of, 'I am fine', but she wasn't.
'Huff!..', Nithya said after our lab completed. It was the only thing I heard from her. She didn't even talk during the class.
Rest of the classes went routine. We were again back to our hostel. My phone rang while I was entering our room. It was Nithya.
I picked up
'Hey, hi...', She said
'Hi', I said with low tone.
'Sorry to disturb, are you busy', She said
'No no, not at all...', I said this time in my normal tone
'Hmm...actually I called up to say sorry...' , she said
'Woh! For what?', I said
'I didn't behave well today. I know that. It was kinda embarrassing...you can get it right?', She said
'Chalo leave it... I know how it feels like...', I said
We then talked for five more minutes and then hung up.
After few minutes, we went to the mess. It was same usual menu. We ate non-veg four-days a week but still eating same old things every week made our tongues bitter. We all sat at our usual places. I was facing Aakash and Hari was beside me and Rohan was opposite to him.
In mean, Hari and Rohan were discussing their usual topic "girls". Rohan was irritating Hari about him and Vidhya. 'Your combination won't work out Mr.Hari', Rohan said
'We are like salt and pepper, two different things but each have their own importance', Hari gave a theoretical explanation. 'My mind isn't designed to catch hold of theories', I thought.
While Rohan started laughing and said, 'Ya ya you are right...almost like a raincoat and a bikini! You wear raincoat even at beach protecting your ultra-formals while she goes out in bikini'.
All of us laughed at his joke but Aakash gave out a fake one.
Aakash was bit serious that time, I realised and asked.
He said, 'Priya.... man!, day by day it seems like she is almost going out of my reach'
'Oh shoot, what happened?', I said
'Some random guy, I don't know his name. Seems that they are in a relationship', Aakash said and everyone was listening to him patiently till then
Rohan started, 'Get his name bro, We'll finish him. I know some gangs here, they'll help us do it'
'You are screwing up', Hari said to Rohan. Rohan noticed but ignored it as it was really a bad idea.
'Come on man, we'll sought it out somehow', I said to consolidate him.
'Chalo, leave it. You guys will waste your time. It's my problem anyway', Aakash said and stood up
Everyone gave a serious look except Rohan, he was almost like crying.
'Oh sorry, sorry guys, seriously sorry, I didn't to hurt you all', Aakash apologised
We then smiled.
'So guys! This will be our mission "the random guy", I announced and other three-ones did that too.....
