Today was the day

Today was the day. I was going to be shooting my very first vogue cover. To say I was excited was an understatement. I was beyond grateful for this opportunity.

It felt good that no one could look me in my face and say they gave this to me. I've been working my ass off for the past four years and with the support of my best friend and my agent I've come this far and there was no stopping me now.

I made my bed before making my way to my bathroom. I was good for time meaning I could take my time in the shower and not rush. After connecting my speaker and putting my playlist on shuffle I knew I was enroute to have a great day.

Skincare is very important as a model. I don't know which is more important your face or your walk but to me they went hand in hand. I didn't have the fanciest routine like some of my peers but I had my holy grails that I stuck to

My morning routine was a bit different from my night routine because my night routine changed based on whether i was wearing makeup and how much I was wearing

Anyways to cleanse my face in the morning my number one holy grail was the original dove cream bar. It's never failed me.

After rinsing off with cold water I patted my face dry. To moisturise my face I actually use Aveeno baby lotion. I have very hypoallergenic skin and Baby products worked the best

The second to last step was my hyaluronic acid and VitaminC blend serum. This just helped with brightness and had anti aging properties. To finish off I went in with my 50+ Spf. Sunscreen was very important for good skin.

I pulled my freshly washed hair into a loose ponytail with a Satin Scrunchie. I made my way over to my errands running section of my wardrobe. This was we're all my target run, hair and nail appointment attire was

I picked out a sage green two piece. Grabbing my cream crocs and a cream baseball cap to match. After getting dressed It was straight to the Kitchen for a light breakfast

Toaster waffles ain't never did no one wrong. I made a quick smoothie to go along side and put it in a disposable cup. Sitting at my Island looking through my floor to ceiling windows at the view it all started to hit me

Knowing where I came from and the struggle I had to go through to get here It was so surreal. I had my own apartment that I paid the bills in I had a fully paid off car. My water never cut. The state never had to turn my lights off. The little things like that reminded how far I'd come.
