February 14th, Valentine's Day. One of the most important days of the year for me. I was walking down the street heading to the market to buy ingredients to make my boyfriend a very special dinner. He had been coming home late every night due to work. I didn't mind it but I could tell it was eating away at him. He had told me he was going to be home early today so I was excited.I walked into the shop grabbing the ingredients I also decided I was going to make a heart-shaped cake for him.

It was currently 3:39 pm when I arrived home I got to work as soon as possible. I placed my apron on over my clothes and tied it around my waist.

It was now currently 5:50 pm and I had just finished cooking. Now I was getting ready I had picked a red silky dress that showed off my curves perfectly. I then went to my jewelry pulling out a small locket that had a picture of Kakucho and me from our first date in high school he had it specially made for our second anniversary, I loved it and always wore it on Valentine's Day. I sprayed my favorite perfume before taking time to set the table I lit three small red candles. I took a seat.

Now it was time to play the waiting game.

You sat at the table waiting for him time slowly went by. The clock now read 8:00 you had been waiting for over three hours and were starting to get tired of waiting. You opened your phone clicking on his contact.

My love Kakucho

Rindo looked down at the phone on his desk it was Kakucho's he had told Rindo to take his phone so he wouldn't get distracted. And all Rindo could do was watch as the phone continued to buzz over and over. As Kakucho received over 10 messages from someone named 'my future wife' he already knew whose contacts it was. Rindo felt bad for the girl because he knew Kakucho had been working like crazy. Rindo knew that Y/n was important to Kakucho. Which is why he did what he did.

"Who's texting Rindo~," his older brother asked smirking at his younger brother. "It's not my phone," Rindo said bluntly "It's Kakucho, and it's his wifey texting him." He said finishing off his statement, before standing up and leaving he knocked on the door to Kakuchos's office, and he heard a faint "come in" before opening the door. "Go home." Was all Rindo said, "I can't I have to finish this work?" Kakucho said signing another paper and moving it to another pile "Kakucho no it's late it is all ready 10:30."

I stared at my phone, hoping to see those three dots to signal he was texting back nothing...nothing at all it made me feel like crying I could feel my throat burning as tears welled up in my eyes... "he forgot..." I mumbled as I stood up, I looked at everything I spent the day making, I had lost my appetite no longer wanting to eat. It was now 10:45 I had waited five hours for him to walk through that door.

I stood up and blew the candles out walking to our shared room. I went into his draw pulling out one of his T-shirts, slipping off my dress laying it on the chair in the room. I slipped his shirt over my head. It smelled like him which made me want to cry even more I took off my necklace and earrings laying them on my nightstand before climbing into bed. I flipped the lamp off next to me grabbing his pillow I turned to my left side hugging his pillow, and once again it smelled just like him.

That's when I let go finally the tears escaped my eyes as a soft quiet sob left my lips. I missed him, I wanted him, I needed him here. I held the pillow closer muffling my cries, I felt tears run down my face. I don't know when but I was able to fall asleep.
