Very Superstitious

Pamela:

I just stood there staring at the cracked mirror waiting for a word to come out of my mother's mouth. How? How did that happen? I just touched her shoulder than bam the mirror cracked.

"M-mom?"

I finally said. For once in my whole life, I started to think about my grandmother and what she says about 'supernatural things'. Could she be serious? No, shut up Pamela! Like your mom says, Grammy is a freak. My mom still didn't answer and her face turned red.

"Oh no"

She whispered.

"What is it mom?"

She shook her head and chuckled nervously

"Nothing sweetie, go get dressed for school!"

Then she walked off like nothing had happened. What was that about? Why was she so...nervous? Hmm, weird. I walked out of the bathroom and back into my room to get changed. I put on a 'Cool Story Bro' shirt and some jean shorts, then I slipped on some Converse. After that I headed over to my mirror to apply make-up. I put on some light pink blush, sparkly golden eye shadow and some eye liner. My eye-lashes were naturally long, well I'd say abnormally, long. So I didn't need mascara. After that I straightened my red hair and left it out for today. I only had one haircut in my life, so my hair reached down right above my butt. I put on some bright pink Baby Lips, grabbed my book bag and headed downstairs. As I pass my mom's room I heard her talking on the phone, she sounded worried.

"Liam!"

She said while crying a little bit. Who was Liam?

"It happened and now that it happened....they can find her"

Find who? I had to hear more of this conversation, but I had to find out who Liam was! And what happened, and who wants to find who? I'm guessing it was a girl...well since she said 'her' . I continued to listen.

"The ironic thing is that she's coming to see you with a friend....................no her friend is mortal, both of her parents are alive.................................. It was a coincidence. You have to protect her she's in danger"

Now I heard her crying a little bit, I started getting nervous. Say if she was talking about me? And she said that her friend was mortal? What was this?! Wizards Of Waverly Place! I listened to her last sentence which left me frightened.

"You know I can't be alive since it happened? You and the others have to stay with her 24/7."

And that's when I dashed out the door

-------

"There you are!"

Bonnie slighty yelled as she stood by my locker.

"Pam, you know you could've emptied your locker out a long time ago?"

I was a total nerd, probably the only student who actually liked being here. But I wasn't in the mood for talking, I was still thinking about the phone conversation I overheard this morning with my mom and some mystery guy named Liam.

"I know Bonnie, I'm emptying it now!"

"Ok, ok no need to be all sassy. Are you okay? You still excited about One Direction?!"

I scoffed when she said 'One Direction'. I had to go to my grandmothers during lunch, I had to get things straight. About the whole mirror cracking and my mom saying 'mortal' thing.

"Sorry Bonnie, just had a crazy morning."

"Oh..well wanna join me for lunch?"

"Sorry not today, I have something important to do"
