what happened next couldn't even be considered a fair fight, the lyrian vanguard showed up and massacred the confederacy forces, between the vectors and the legionnaires assaulting the enemy, they were absolutely slaughtered

the lyrian vanguard didn't stop there however, at the emperor's orders the 3rd aquarius fleet under the command of count dooku attacked the blockade around naboo, absolutely destroying the confederacy fleet around the world, in that instance and again at the emperor's behest an alliance between lyrania and naboo was formed

dooku also took the advantage to move to mandalorian and essentially recruit all of the mandalorian warriors only the planet leaving the pacifists behind, satine wasn't too pleased but what was she to do, her people that left, do so voluntarily and were given an opportunity no mandalorian would ever turn down

the vanguard under the command of general dooku would continue to take the fight to the confederacy leaving one particular senator quite worried, to the point he had given an order he would forever regret

"execute order 66" palpatine ordered to a clone soldier guarding him, the soldier relayed that order to all of his contemporaries, this was done however when the third fleet was in orbit over coruscant and dooku himself was in the council chambers giving a report

as a squad of clone soldiers blasted into the council chambers

"what is the meaning of this" mace windu demanded

"you are all under arrest as traitors to the republic" came the soldiers reply, dooku sighed

"dooku to the victory, i need two platoons of legionnaires" dooku said, as in that moment forty legionnaires appeared

"target the clones fire at will" dooku ordered as he pulled out and ignited his lightsaber, the masters following dooku's lead

"dooku to the victory, send a full contingent of the jedi grand temple, clear out all clone forces and gather all jedi found they are to be treated with the greatest respect, have them transported to the victory" dooku gave out his orders through his communicator

"understood general, should we inform the emperor" the officer asked

"yes, inform him, i have granted the jedi asylum" dooku said

"understood general" dooku said

"i am probably ruining my career in doing this but hopefully it will give you the wake up call you so desperately needed, for now prepare for transport, legionnaires you have your orders" dooku said

"yes sir" the legionnaires said

"victory, beam myself and the jedi high council aboard at once" dooku ordered

"understood general energizing" the officer said as the group of twelve plus dooku were beamed aboard

"set the fleet to condition one, inform our forces that the venators are no longer our allies, and inform the emperor it is likely my actions will bring us into war against the republic" dooku said

"yes sir" he said, dooku sighed

"i do hope you are grateful, me saving your lives have just brought my emperor and his nation into a war we did not want" he said to the jedi, before stepping off the pad and briskly leaving the transporter room, he would be needed on the bridge

"all ships gather into formation, shields to maximum, all ships plot our course for lyrania, maximum warp" dooku ordered

"yes general" came the collective reply of the bridge staff as he took his seat in his command chair and sighed, it didn't take long for the twelve jedi masters to find their way to the ships command bridge

"we have been told that our students have all been rescued, on behalf of the jedi you have our gratitude" shaak ti said

"i am glad you understand your situation, have we recovered our legionnaires" the general asked

"all are aboard, all ships report ready for warp" came the reply

"execute" the general ordered as all of the ships left republic space before the republic really understood what had happened

when palpatine did learn he was furious he had command of both the drone and clone armies, but this lyrania was the biggest problem, so the chancellor made a decision he would personally lead all of his forces against this threat to his plans, he had the entire senate executed, he also had the entire leadership of the confederacy quietly assassinated, he gathered all of his ships from both sides and he had all of them gather at the lyranian border he soon learned that was a very bad decision he soon found himself hopelessly outnumbered and outgunned thirty-six sovereign-class command dreadnoughts was just the tip of the iceberg to this monolithic fleet, for he faced all twelve fleets of the vanguard, it's full might baring down on him

"how, how did all of my plans fall apart so spectacularly" he asked himself as his command ship was the first to fall, followed by every single ship the sith brought with him, the emperor who personally led his forces into battle allowed not a single enemy vessel the opportunity to escape he destroyed them all

after the ships were all destroyed completely and utterly destroyed leaving nothing to even be salvaged the fleet returned to their homeworld

the emperor was sitting on his throne overlooking the jedi masters

"what am i going to do with you" i asked

"your majesty, may i speak" a girl had asked she had escaped from one of the venators and was fortunate to be picked up by the sovereign, ahsoka her name was

"you had led one of my flight vector squadrons, quite expertly i might add which is impressive, for your bravery and valor, you may speak" i said

"your majesty, the jedi can still do good, they have just lost their way, please allow us to continue in our roll" she said

"as peacekeepers, hmm, on two conditions i will allow your order to continue" i said

"what conditions are those" shaak ti asked

"first you will revise your jedi code completely rewrite it, this started because of your arrogance, i have ended it to protect my people from tyranny, it will not happen again, dooku will be required to sit on your council as a liaison between me and you, that is my first condition" i said, that was a rough pill to swallow but

"no choice, we have" yoda said, lyrania was the only real major power there was now, and if the jedi were to survive they had to follow it's laws

"not really since i am going to have to take over governing your republic while you rebuild, i will have to send envoys to each world for new senators it will not be a fun experience as they will not trust me whatsoever, and i don't trust any of you, the second condition, all of those children you took from their families are to be returned at once, those who didn't have families will be given the opportunity to chose i will take them as my wards if necessary, but i will not have you be brainwashing children to follow your beliefs any longer" i demanded, again they nodded, not having any choice

"sir" she called

"what is it, miss tano" i asked

"my former master, his mother is enslaved" she said, i sighed

"another problem to deal with, who was your master and do you know where she is" i asked

"anakin skywalker, and his mother is on tatooine" she said, dooku grimaced

"i know i don't particularly care for the planet either, take your ship, bring her" i said

"of course my emperor it will be done, what should i do of the slave owner" he asked

"kill them, you know our policy" i said

"forceful servitude is not tolerated" he nodded as he left

"there are those that volunteer to serve i should know, i have my own contingent of servants all voluntarily and willing servants" i said
