My foot connected with the ball, it went flying towards the opposing team's goal. It seemed to have happened in slow motion, Felicity jumped up and headed the ball, it went up in the air. Just as it hit the ground she positioned her foot above the ball when it bounced up it her her foot. She had control of it she was swerving through my team, eventually her stormy eyes met mine, and then she kicked it straight at me. I tried to head it but it was to late. It hit entered our goal. Silence hung in the air. "Shirts have one!" The PE teacher announced. That such broke the silence.
It was the middle of 8th period, when Jacob, the bully decided to show up. He kept making faces at me throughout the class. Finally the bell rang. I ran into Felicity in the hall, I asked her if she was mad at me for some reason, she said I said something last night, but the conversation was interrupted. "Hey, Guy!" Jacob called with a grotesque smile.
"You know I don't like being called by name." I reminded. He came charging at me. I ran out of school and people were boarding the buses I weaved through them. It didn't help, people were just letting him through. I ran behind the school, I tripped on the tip of my shoe and hit the ground. My lip was dripping blood and my cheeks felt bruised. No one could see us behind the school. I'm so stupid. Why run behind the school? I looked up, the sky was a light shade of blue and it was a clear sky. I looked to my left and I saw Felicity looking down on me, her eyes watery. She followed me? It's happening again. I thought. Jacob's figure towered over me. I closed my eyes and with every punch I became more numb. I felt drops of water hit my face. I opened my eyes they were coming from Felicity. She was hugging me, her hair rested on my face, it smelled of vanilla. "How long how have I been laying here?" I said with a cracked voice.
"About twenty minutes..." She replied in a hushed tone.
"Where's Jacob?"
"He left when you fainted."
"He ran away..."
"Not really." She smiled. She lifted her head and looked at me now with soft grey eyes. Her face was rose-red. She leaned in, then stopped herself. She got up, she was wearing blue jeans, a pair of black converse, a blank black t-shirt and a white cardigan. She put her hair in a messy bun and gave me her hand. I smirked and took her hand. "Does these bruises add to my attractiveness+" I asked with a crooked smile.
"No...idiot." She said playfully.
"I think we have something going."
"Not at all." She smiled. In the distance I saw Brian and Avia running towards us. "Where were you guys?" I asked with a wide smile.
"I thought I told you. We're in the tech program we had a field trip to a tech center in Georgia." Brian said.
"Oh that's right" I said, embarrassed.
"Who's your girlfriend?"
"She's not my girlfriend." I sighed. Felicity just looked at me as if to say, not yet, at least.
"How 'bout we introduce ourselves over dinner?" Brian offered. We didn't have any plans so we all agreed. Brian's mom took us to a high-rating seafood bar and we began talking.
