"Hey, Julia!" McKayla said to Julia with a happy expression. Julia turned to McKayla and got super happy. "MeK! I have a boyfriend- guess who!" McKayla thought and thought. She finally came up with a guess. "Trey?" "No, silly! It's Caleb." McKayla tries to hide her depressed look. McKayla has had the biggest crush on Caleb since 3rd grade, now she's in 8th and her bestfriend's dating him. How could this get any worse? Julia sighs. "What's wrong, McKayla? Are you not happy for me?" McKayla fixes her posture and puts on a fake smile. "N-no, I am- I'm just a little shocked it's Caleb." "Yeah, about 3 days ago. Said he's liked me since 4th grade." "OH, that's.. great..." McKayla tries to be a good friend and support Julia even though she's internally shattered. Julia hugs McKayla. "Thanks, girl. I knew you'd wanna hear about this." Julia says to McKayla with a calming look on her face. "Well, I gotta go- bye girl." "Bye." McKayla says to Julia. She Waits for her to leave then starts crying. "Why, Me? Why!?" McKayla screams to herself. She shoves her face into her pillow and screams. "Why can't people take the hint that I like Caleb?" She thinks.
