Jisung held Seungmin firmly as they descended down. They were falling way too fast that it terrified both of them, but they trusted Changbin more than ever. Just as they were going to hit the ground, Jisung felt a pair of hands on his torso, and he landed on his feet without a scratch on Seungmin or on himself

"Are you two insane?!"

Was the first thing they heard from the short male with green highlights. He looked very pissed and concerned as he let go of Jisung and crossed his arms

"Yes. Now, get out of the way. I have some memories to manipulate."

Seungmin answered as he pushed past Changbin, who shot him a glare as he tried his best not to summon a lightning and hit Seungmin with it to knock some sense in him

"You are so damn lucky that Wooyoung heard you through all that chaos in the class and just pushed me out of the window while screaming at my face about 'Seungmin about to faceplant himself'!"

Changbin shouted as Jisung held him back from doing anything stupid. The king and queen shot a glare to the shorter male, which made him scoff at them. Hyunjin felt helpless watching a silent war wage between one of his best friends and his parents

"Lecture me after I am done with my job, will ya?"

Seungmin spoke with annoyance evident in his voice as he forced a smile and bowed to the vampire king and queen

"Greetings, your majesties. I would like to apologize for my friends' behaviours."

Seungmin greeted them as the vampire couple smiled back to him. Hyunjin and Felix smiled in relief as they looked at Seungmin with hopeful eyes

"I have to do this..."

Seungmin whispered to himself as he took a deep breath and closed his eyes. When he opened them, his eyes turned from dark brown to fiery yellow. The vampires, Felix, and everyone besides Jisung and Changbin got caught in Seungmin's spell. As Seungmin worked on manipulating their memories, Jisung worked on breaking the spell Jeongin had casted

"Two of you, get out of here and tell Hoshi hyung to come here."

Seungmin whispered once he was done as Jisung and Changbin nodded, understanding his intentions without it being said aloud. Changbin took Jisung holding him back into an advantage and sped off from there, ending up in a random hallway

"I know where Hoshi hyung is."

Jisung revealed as they stopped for a short break. Changbin looked at him, waiting for the younger to continue

"One more floor up, 4th classroom."

Jisung directed as Changbin nodded and sped off there, stopping right in front of the classroom. Jisung knocked on the door with a special pattern and opened the door, revealing the most important leaders, Exceptionals, and 6 new faces, 3 who were very familiar to Changbin

"Hoshi hyung, you are up next."

Jisung informed them as Soonyoung smirked and nodded, climbing up the window sill and jumping down without worrying at all

"Yeosang? Minho hyung? Your highness?"

Changbin called out as he bowed to the title holder, making the person clench his jaws, a frown evident from across the room

"Which corner of earth were you in?"

The person questioned after removing Minho's hand from his mouth as he stepped away from Minho to take a good look at Changbin

"Wait... General Seo's son? Seo Changbin?"

The person spoke as Changbin froze. Even if it had been years, the person still recognised him

"Jin hyung."

Minho called out in a warning tone, trying to prevent Changbin's past from resurfacing again while Jeonghan looked at the oldest curiously

"Who is he, hyung?"

Jeonghan asked as Joshua was curious, too. Yeosang gave them a side eye and looked at Changbin with a warm smile

"He is the late General's son, Seo Changbin. The late General's family and ancestors were all lightning elementals who have been serving the vampire kingdom for a long run. But the late General and his wife were killed by humans during that incursion about a decade ago. The first born, Seo Naeun, was captured by humans, and no one found out where she was located. Changbin, on the other hand, was protected along with the Hwangs."

Seokjin explained briefly as he looked at Changbin, whose face was as white as the flour, as if he had just seen a ghost. Bang Chan knew that Seokjin pushed the wrong buttons

"Hyung, that's enough."

Minho whispered to Seokjin and pushed him a little to his side. He looked at Changbin with concern and stepped towards him

"Changbin I-"

"It's fine."

Changbin cut Minho off as he pinched himself to snap out of it. He took a deep breath and looked at Minho with a small smile

"Welcome, hyung."

Changbin greeted with a small bow, stunning Minho. This was not the Changbin he knew. The younger had changed. In fact, all of them did, and he knew that he had to figure it out soon

"H-Hi."

Minho waved and bowed a little before looking up at Changbin. Behind Changbin, Jisung squinted his eyes, wondering why Minho remembered not to bring up Changbin's past but not him- or his sole existence when they met earlier

"Yeosang? Why are you here, though?

Changbin asked as Yeosang looked at Changbin with a confused expression

"What do you mean?"

Yeosang asked back as Changbin furrowed his eyebrows and was about to elaborate further, but a commotion outside grabbed everyone's attention

"What the fuck?! Yeji no!"

Hyunjin's yell was heard followed by a crash as Namjoon was ready to jump out the window and stop whatever was going on but was pulled back by Hongjoong

"Oh my god!"

Seungcheol screamed as he ducked down and forced Jongho and Seokmin to duck with him. Seokjin pulled Minho and Yeosang down, shielding them from the carriage that was thrown towards the classroom window with an inhuman force. Jeonghan, Joshua, and Seonghwa let their wings out, shielding the others from the incoming impact as the carriage crashed on the window, sending little metal pieces and shard of glasses flying everywhere

"That little brat."

Seokjin grumbled as he let go of Minho and Yeosang, standing up and dusting away the shard of glasses from his clothes

"What the hell was that?"

Seonghwa asked as he peeked through his wings while Seokjin helped Minho and Yeosang up, making sure they were alright

"Her ridiculously sharp senses and her disrespectfully stupid way of greeting me."

Seokjin replied as he looked out the window to see Yeji smiling at him gleefully while Felix, Hyunjin, and Soonyoung looked up at her in bewilderment

"Thank you for your welcome! Now be ready for detention, you idiot!"
