About half a month later, Wang Yibo was holding popcorn and watching an old case file with Xiao Zhan when the doorbell of their house rang, which was a rare occurrence.

They lived in an upscale residential area where food deliveries and packages were always left at the entrance, and the dedicated housekeeper silently brought them upstairs. They would usually receive notifications but not doorbell rings, and there was no chance of interruptions like water or electricity checks. The only possibility for the doorbell ringing was if someone whose face had been registered came to visit.

"Xiao Bo, are you home?"

Xiao Zhan closed the case file and asked Wang Yibo, "Do you want me to stay with you?"

"Why did you suddenly come? When did you get back?"

"We just got back. We brought some specialties from over there. Put these in the refrigerator, and these can be stored at room temperature."
