"Why do you still struggle?" A mysterious voice asked. "I've already overtaken your body. It's only a matter of time until your mind breaks as well."
Jade tried to open her eyes but for some reason, she was unable to.
"Oh you can't do that anymore." The voice said with a sigh. "They're mine now."
I... I... It took an immense amount of effort for Jade to even try and think.
"Stop struggling. Just give up, my dear Jade."
Cyra suddenly opened her eyes and took in a huge breath as she gasped. She had only a few moments of blessed ignorance before pain began to overwhelm her. She winced as she noticed the dagger sticking out of her chest and the pain in the side of her head.
"Oh dear..." She sighed. "I forgot what pain felt like but now I'm experiencing it all over again. Surely you didn't have to kick her that hard, Rash. Although I suppose I wouldn't have been able to avoid this dagger; it was required after all." She observed it thoughtfully even as blood continued to flow out of her.
Rash stood dumbfounded as the woman who should have been dead spoke to him. "It- it worked-??" He exclaimed.
Cyra regarded Rash with an amused expression. "Of course it did. I'm speaking to you right now, aren't I?" She laughed, then winced as that caused her pain. She looked at the dagger again, then sighed. "I know this is going to hurt, but..." She grabbed the dagger and swiftly pulled it out, then with another pain-filled gasp, she threw it across the room. The dagger flew across the room with such force that it cracked the wall when it landed in the wall with a satisfying sound. "Wonderful. At least this body has some strength behind it." Cyra said as she eyed the crack in the wall.
"Are you just going to continue bleeding out or..." Rash trailed off as he gestured aimlessly at the gaping hole in Jade's... no, Cyra's chest.
"Oh, that doesn't matter." Cyra said, dismissing Rash's concern. She waved her hand over the wound as her palm began to glow and the wound immediately healed itself before Rash could even process what happened in front of him. Cyra's eyes brightened immediately. "That's wonderfully better; I forgot human bodies were so fragile."
"You're acting like a naive child who's just been let out for the first time in its life." Rash observed wryly.
"How would you feel if you were trapped in a ring for hundreds of years?" Cyra shot back, rolling her eyes.
"I suppose that's valid."
"Yes..." Cyra muttered distractedly as she looked around the room. "Wasn't there someone else in here with you? I thought I sensed another mind."
"There was Jade, you, I, and... Vita..." Rash realized. "Except Vita's gone now. Where- where did she go?!?" Rash whirled around, expecting to see Vita standing there but she was nowhere to be found within the room.
"Hmmm." Cyra said as she struck a thoughtful expression.
"I can't believe that she'd just leave like that-" Rash growled. "Surely she'll be back shortly..."
"Be quiet, now." Cyra ordered as she closed her eyes.
"You want me to b-" Rash sputtered indignantly but Cyra cut in, saying in an extremely quiet yet dangerous voice, "I said shut. Up. You want me to find Vita?? Then shut your mouth for once. I need to focus."
