"Fuck that" Syncari yelled before laughing at herself. She was currently driving home listening to thirsty by Partynextdoor. It was around 7pm and she just had got done with her maintenance day. She loved pampering herself especially after a long work week.
She had a fresh new hairdo, nails, lashes, and a wax. She honestly felt so rejuvenated after not really keeping up with herself for the last few weeks due to work. She almost forgot how good it felt, and she definitely wouldn't be missing anymore maintenance days.
Still singing along to Partynextdoor she let her eyes focus on the road as heavy rain started to be poured down.
She honestly hated driving in the rain it just gave her an uneasy feeling for some odd reason even though she loved rainy weather.
As the rain poured down harder, she started to regret taking the back road she always takes. It got her home quicker than the highways. The backroad was a dark road surrounded by wilderness with no lights. In the daytime it was fine but at night it was completely dark. Usually, the moonlight would give you a little light. But since it was raining and cloudy it was pitch black.
Looking in her rear-view mirror she squinted her eyes at the bright headlights that appeared behind her. "Now who tf got them bright ass headlights" she mumbled to herself.
Putting her focus back on the road she concentrated on driving. She probably would've been closer to home, but she hated speeding while it was raining better safe than sorry. Glancing in her rear-view mirror again she could see how close the car was to hers now.
She started to feel more uneasy as the car was keeping the same speed as her. Call her paranoid but she was very attentive to her surroundings. Pressing the gas to break how close the car was to her. She started to feel a little better even though she was already overthinking the situation. It was no other cars on the road, and it was raining. She just prayed nothing happened.
Looking in her rearview mirror again she frowned her face up as she seen the car also speed up.
"The fuck" she mumbled to herself before pressing the gas a little more. Seeing the car reciprocate the same amount of speed as her. Now her heart started to beat a little faster.
"Oh, fuck no" Syncari focused on the road as the car behind her was speeding up more. She tried glancing in the rearview mirror to see if she could make out the car or a person. But the headlights were too bright, and all she could tell was that the car was a truck because it was sat up way higher than her Mercedes Benz.
The truck behind her speed increased until it hit the back of Syncari's car. Jerking forward from the impact Syncari started to panic. Now she was beyond scared trying to keep her car steady.
Trying her best to see through the rain while going 100 mph now. She prayed that she made it home safe. Grabbing her phone out of the cupholder she began to unlock her phone. Going to the dial pad she started dialing 911.
The truck rammed into the back of her car again but harder this time. Which made her phone drop on the floor.
"Fuck," she cursed to herself before taking a deep breath, trying to keep herself calm. She debated whether she wanted to keep driving or reach down and get her phone.
Keeping her eyes trained on the road she tried to bend down. The truck behind her rammed into her again. Making her hit her head on the steering wheel. "Shit" she cursed before coming back up rubbing her head.
She could feel her head pounding now.
Now going over 100mph she hurriedly reached down again to retrieve her phone. Grabbing it she came back up looking back at the road. Before the truck rammed into her again causing her to slide off the road a little bit.
Panic set in as she tried to keep her car steady on the road. But it was too late her car was already hydroplaning. Letting out a scream as her car was now in the air. Everything was moving so slow before the side of her car hit the ground.
Groaning as the pain set in from the impact. Her vision was now blurry she could hardly see anything. Meanwhile the truck in the road had come to a complete stop. She could hear another car pull up into the distance just hoping it was help.
Trying to maneuver her way out of the car she could hear voices in the distance as she went in and out of consciousness.
Syncari pushed herself out of her seat hissing in the process. She could now feel her leg throbbing. trying to ignore the pain as best as she could she climbed out of the broken window. Once she climbed out, she looked at the road. Trying to let her vision focus on four figures that were standing by two trucks.
The car she thought was help wasn't she could see that it was another truck parked right behind the one that ran her off the road. Letting her eyes focus more on the figures she could see two of them arguing. Moving her now soaked hair out of her face. She pushed herself off the ground trying to stand up. Groaning in pain as she stood up, she could feel herself about to collapse but grabbed onto the car for salability
Hearing yelling she turned her head in the direction of the voices. Before she could make out what was going on one of the men pulled out a gun firing the shots into the other.
Letting out a scream Syncari fell onto the ground. All three of the men heads snapped in her direction as she tried to pick herself up off of the ground.
"GO" one of the men yelled as the other two took off towards syncari. "Shit" picking herself of the ground syncari ran straight into the woods. Her body aching in pain as she ran as best as she could.
She could hear the two people that were chasing her getting closer. Lighting struck in the sky letting her get a little glimpse of the woods.
She could see a steep hill in front of her.
picking her speed up she knew she had to jump onto the hill it was the only option considering her swollen ankle and throbbing leg. it would take a while to climb, and she didn't have that kind of time.
approaching the hill, she ran a little faster letting out a cry from how much pain she was in. The lightning struck through the sky again and she jumped as high as she could. ''omg'' she whimpered out as her body hit the ground; she could feel more pain run through her body. Using the rest of the energy and strength she had she pulled herself up.
Looking down the hill she could see the two figures that just had chased her looking up at her. Groaning as she picked herself up taking off towards the road she looked back one more time. Before turning her head and seeing headlights in her vision.
Feeling a sharp pain run through her as her body hit the windshield of the car before hitting the ground and blacking out.
The car came to an abrupt stop and the man that was driving the car got out in a hurry as other vehicles approached the accident. "Ma'am, are you ok" the man yelled in a panic looking down at Syncari "Call for help" the man shook her limp body as lighting struck through the sky.
