Sudden changes

I wake up the next morning rather early. it's 7:42 am according to the clock. And sure enough it was early because when I enter the cafeteria no one is awake. I sit there thinking what I should have for breakfast. I end up deciding on some simple, avocado on toast. By the time I had finished Martin had entered. There was something weird with him, I didn't think much of it because I walked up to my room got back on the bed and started reading.

*knock knock*
"Niko, are you in there?"  I could hear martin outside my door. 
"Yeah, just reading."  I replied my mind still on the book but then suddenly he opened the door and came in. He shouldn't be able to get in unless I unlocked the door and there were no spare keys
"How did you get in?"  I questioned inserting my bookmark and putting the book aside.
"That doesn't matter right now. But I need to talk to you."  At this point I was getting concerned. First he got in through a locked door, then is talking like he did something crazy! 
"Why? what did you do?"  I asked trying to keep my voice from sounding worried.
"That's the thing... I don't know what I did. One moment i'm leaving my dormitory, and the next I'm standing outside your door."  He said clearly not hiding the worry in his voice.
"What about Ameila... Where is she." i ask wondering away from Martins sudden appearance.
"Have you checked up on her, because some weird thing are going on!"
"Good point... let's go now" Martin exclaims before running off leaving me behind.

After getting changed out of my PJ's and into my day clothes I go and find Amelia and Martin. They are in the hallway leading to Amelia room. They are heading towards the cafeteria so I follow them. However they didn't sound like themselves. They were both using a similar accent now, they were speaking in some dialect i couldn't understand... I don't think i was supposed to hear this.

I arrive in the cafeteria, acting like I hadn't heard anything they had said before. I don't think I want to know how they would react to me spying on them, especially if they aren't who they say who they are. At this point, it appears that I am the only one in true danger.
