Jealousy

"Starflight!" Sunny called as she stopped in mid-air, "Hurry up slowpoke!", she giggled. She is so pretty.... Starflight thought. "I'm trying to hurry!" He sighed and flew after her. Her golden scales shimmered and her green eyes stared playfully at Starflight. She whipped her harmless tail and wore a toothy grin. "I'm just playing!" She laughed. She has such a.... beautiful laugh..

Starflight felt hot and heavy with his dark black scales. "Can we rest maybe?" he was really hoping to have a chance to catch some prey and bond with Sunny. It was the perfect chance to make his move... With the other dragonets dealing with stuff at the rainforest, Glory learning about her tribe, Clay sleeping probably, and Tsunami being.. well... Tsunami, that meant they were all alone. Just him and Sunny. "Sure I guess.... how about that cliff over there?" She pointed one of her talons over to a cliff hanging off the side of a mountain.

"I guess that would be fine.." He smiled nervously "I'm just hungry.. and these black scales make me really hot.." He breathed tired and heavy.

Off in the distance there was another shining pail gold figure flying their way. The closer he got, the more tired, lost, worried, and hungry he looked.

"WATCH OUT!" he yelled as he tumbled onto the cliff. "AHH!" Starflight and Sunny both said in unison as they rolled out of the way, "ow...." Starflight had rolled onto a pointy rock. "What the.. Who are you?"

Sunny sat up and blinked at the new dragon who was holding a wound on his leg. Sunny started to blush. "D... do you ne.. need any help?" she had a bit of kindness in her voice when she spoke to him, "we have some friends that will fix you right up..."
Who is this!? Why is he here?! Ugh... an opponent for Sunny!

Was that jealousy in his thoughts? Hatred? Starflight never felt so protective over anyone before...
He will probably leave. He will go away... We will help him... And it wont change anything.. Right?
He looked at Sunny and noticed she looked at him in this strange way. A way that made Starflight feel so... Jealous.

"Ahem" He looked at the new Sandwing sitting in front of him. "Who are you exactly?" He tried to sound like he had authority.. even though he obviously did not. "Oh i'm Sotol, I know... it sounds odd but its a type of dessert plant." He winced "Ow... this wound..." Starflight studied the Sandwing's scales. He was a pale-yellow color with black diamond patterns.
Just like Blister... I HATED Blister.

Starflight shook his head.He narrowed his eyes at Sotol and almost grinded his teeth together. "Woah, woah woah!" Sotol winced once more "What did I do to you? You look angry at me for something."

Starflight stopped and realised he was probably making a big deal about something small. "Me? What do you mean? I'm fine.." He tried to play is cool, but as soon and Sotol looked away he narrowed his eyes at him again.

Sunny looked at him in a confused way. "Starflight... your acting odd.. He is just a Sandwing that needs our help.." she smiled "Yeah! I'm just an innocent little Sandwing that needs help!" Sotol made a pouty face, blinked a few times, and added a sniff or two at the end. Starflight rolled his eyes " Lets just get him to help or whatever."

Starflight looked at him and felt a tiny stab of guilt. "He can... fly.. he should be fine till we get there.." Sunny looked at Starflight as if he was crazy, "Help him or something! He is tired... please starflight?" She moved her gaze back to Sotol and had the same starry-eyed stare she gave him before.

"Hey watch the wings!" Starflight snapped "Hey!! I said watch it!!" He growled. "Starflight... Are you ok? Your not acting normal..."
I know i'm not acting normal.. I don't know whats wrong.. I feel this weird hatred for him.. i'm sorry Sunny... Please just please understand..

"I don't know! I'm just hungry and tired. That's all.. I promise... its been a long day." Starflight heard a snicker coming from behind them. "You would not happen to be... Jealous of me would you?" Sotol had to make a remark like that. "You obviously love this little sandwing here!" sunny blushed really hard. "Starflight... I..." Starflight cut her off "NO. That's... not the reason! I told you! I'm tired and hungry!"

Starflight turned away and wrinkled his snough in anger. "we are almost to the rainforest. He can get his help from there and then he can leave.." He sighed and he saw the rainforest in the distance.
