-THE NEXT AFTERNOON-

( this chapter will be VERY long btw. Or at least it might be pretty long, and I will try to make it very detailed. Or more detailed than usual for me and my stories, and I don't have much of a plan for what will happen next. Some of the story might not quite fit together, and there might be some errors. I usually update my stories at 11:00PM to 3:00 AM for some reason, so I'm usually tired when I update them...but just please be patient and don't judge. Please don't make one of my favorite hobbies stressful for me..)

StarFlight grumbled and slowly started to open his eyes.

For a second he thought he was back under the mountain, with his scrolls all scrambled out over his rock bed, with the uncomfortable heat and the light breezes that came through every now and then, and then there was the Snoring of Clay. The constant Snorting and rumbling of the mudwing.

But wait... Why would they be back under the mountain? Clay was back at the rainforest.. And he was just there..

Then it hit him, " The rainforest! It was on fi-" He shut up when he realized he was in an unfamiliar cave. With another dragon.. Somewhere asleep in the darkness.

He listened and tried to breath slowly and quietly so he could hear if the dragon was asleep. And after a few tense seconds, the snoring started again.

"Oh Pyrrhia, thank you.." He whispered to himself quietly. He looked around, trying to take in all the strange smells and figure out where we was. There had been a dragon in the same cave for sure.. But he could not tell what tribe it was from. There was a odd smell of Prey that would carry in the air every now and then, but he could not tell where it was coming from.

There was a slight dripping sound coming from a nearby cave, and there was this tense feeling that hung heavy in the air.

"Where am I.." StarFlight mumbled on accident, meaning to just think it. "Oops.." He felt stupid for speaking..

He guessed the heat was coming from the rainforest and the fire. He could still smell a bit of smoke and some of the rainforest like smells in the cave. When he felt the walls, they were warm and damp.. The texture was smooth, with a few bumbs and some extra rocks poking out here and there..

" Maybe a bit of fire would help me see.." He quietly whispered to himself. But if he did that, he was risking waking the "mystery dragon" up.. And he could end up getting himself killed. But he had to know more about where he was, and it was too dark to actually see or take in any sights.

So he decided he would try and spit out a flame.. But he had to be careful and it could not be to much.. Or it would be to bright. He slowly started to build up some heat in the back of his neck and he carefully spit out a bit of fire.

The cave's walls were a mix of white, brown, and black. His shadow flashed on the wall as the bright orange/red flicker of the fire moved to the breeze. But.. There was another shadow.. Behind his. It did not move at all, and it was about the same size as his. Or maybe it was bigger and farther behind him than it seemed.

Either way, he did not want to find out who or what it was.. Or how big the dragon was.

He could hear the dragon breathing behind him. And it seemed like forever until StarFlight noticed the shadow moving.

It walked a bit closer to him, not much more than a few feet though. And then.. A voice like no other spoke to him.. "Hello, NightWing..." The Dragons voice was coarse and slow. It was torture to just listen to it.

"H..hello..?" StarFlight flinched, and shuddered with fear. But then, the dragon shifted closer.. And the heat went away. He felt a chill down his spine, then he felt cold. He realized that the "Mystery Dragon" was an IceWing.

"Who.. are you!?!" StarFlight was more curious now than scared.

~An Icewing... Dangerously elegant. But, full of themselves from what I have heard..~ He thought.

The IceWing was then staring him in the face. He could now tell it was Female. But, he could not tell if she was up to no good or not.. She wore somewhat of a frown, and her Black as coal eyes stared right into his. Just looking at her made him have chills down his spine, her freezing scales just made it worse.

The thought of being blasted with ice instead of fire.. Being snapped in half, after freezing to death made being bit by a DragonBite-Viper sound appealing.

"Oh, little NightWing.. That's none of your business.." She paused for a minute, "just like its none of your business about who started this fire.." She narrowed her eyes at him.

"You did. You were part of this!" StarFlight found his anger rising, his heart started beating harder. He growled thinking about the danger Sunny was in. "You... You were helping start the fire! YOU PUT SUNNY IN DANGER!" He growled.

"Now calm down NightWing.. I could kill you in a second if I wanted to. Luckily I'm keeping you alive.. I have never like your stupid tribe. So your even luckier than you think.." She looked at him. "And yes. I did help start this fire.. But not fully.. I mean I sorta stayed in the background. I can't give to much information about this.. Or she will not be pleas-" she was interrupted by StarFlight.

"But.. Why??" StarFlight could not wrap his head around it.. ~Why? Why would an IceWing care about catching the rainforest on fire? And why WOULD they catch it on fire.. Why??~ His mind was going in circles. Answers that did not make sense went along with theories that did not fit. There was also a feeling of worry that stuck his chest.. He assumed he was worried about Sunny and the fire. And then, he felt guilt. Why had he not tried to save Sunny when he had the chance.. Before Sotol did.. Then maybe he would not be in this mess..

"Do you know something??" He tried to ignore the feeling and instead tapped the ground with his talons and went on with trying to figure out this new mystery. "Do you have a future plan?? Why?? Are the IceWings trying to take the over the rainforest?? Are you trying to stop something? Does this have to do with the war?? Are yo-" the IceWing's cold talons grabbed his snout tightly.

"I can't not bare to listen to you going on anymore. I AM trying to stop something. And I DO know something also.. And it's about your Stupid tribe too.." She grumbled. "I'm surprised you don't know about this.. Aren't you a NightWing??"

She looked at him for a long moment then realized who he was. "Wait.. Your one of those.. Dragonets!" She looked around worriedly. "You should not be here.. No no no!" She started shaking her head."She will not be pleased..."

StarFlight was so confused at this point. "Who?? Who won't be pleased? What are the NightWings planning?? WHO even are you!?!" He started getting a headache. "So many questions to be answered.."

"You must get out of here.. Go back to the RainForest.." She looked around and then started doing something wierd with her talons.. Mumbling some words quietly. It took StarFlight a minute to realize what was happening.

She was an animus. And what ever she was doing was going to affect him. He was started to get caught in this odd feeling.. He started to feel tired and strange. And after a few more minutes of her saying things and StarFlight swaying back and forth in a blank gaze, he then started to pass out.

Again, the world around him went black and faded away. no more humid cave with the dripping in the next cave over.. No more slight breeze and strange prey like smell. And, no more creepy IceWing.

The world had gone black.

And again, StarFlight had became unconscious.
