My name is Jaxson Drake I'm 17 years old and I am finishing my Junior year. It was a horrendous school year. My English teacher Mr. Fulkerson asked me to write an essay about the school year. He told me it would make up for the amount of missing work I had. I accepted and decided on the perfect topic.

It all started the first day after summer break. I headed to my first period English class and was waiting for the bell. My friends came and sat next to me as the bell rang. I didn't notice at first but there was a new student. As she moved her long black hair away from her face I was dumbfounded. She was absolutely gorgeous and I couldn't stop staring at her. Mr. Fulkerson said her name was Rebecka Minsor, wow even her name was pretty. She was no taller than 5'6" and was wearing an old 80's rock n' roll t-shirt. Her eyes, wow her eyes had brought me into a trance. They were a gorgeous light blue/grey and I had a thing for girls with blue eyes. She lived in Arizona before moving to Washington. She seemed different from our normal Robertson High School girls. Don't get me wrong the girls at my school are pretty but they are rich and self-centered. She sat in the front corner of the class six seats away from me. I needed to know her and I tried my hardest.

During the rest of my morning classes I couldn't stop thinking about Rebecka. The bell finally rang for lunch. I noticed Rebecka walking across the courtyard. She sat down on the bench that nobody goes too. It looked like it could break any minute. It was all rotted and had vines all over it. I walked over to Rebecka trying to gain enough courage to talk to her. She noticed me and said, "Hey Jaxson." Wow she actually knew my name. "How did you know my name?" I asked. Her response was a bit superficial, "You are the big man on campus. Everyone knows your name." I smiled at her and sat down next to her. We talked for a good 20 minutes about how different her old school was. She told me about her old friends and about her family. She was honest with me and I liked that. Everything was going perfect until I noticed a girl with thick blond hair approaching us.
