So I guess I'm continuing this one. Thanks so much you don't know how happy I feel that you guys like my story. I'll try to update as often as I can but I'll always be writing so hopefully my updates will be longer!
By the time Jason and Sally got home it was dark and the place was deserted. They walked around for a bit looking for anyone. Eventually they reached the tent on the outermost skirts of camp. All the little kids were in there.
"Hey guys." Jason said.
The kids smiled and ran up to him. He was so popular with them it was kind of funny in a crazy adorable way.
"Where is everyone?" He asked.
"They went looking for you guys." A boy said.
"Looking for us?" Jason asked.
"Yeah. The queen was angry and made all the grown ups go look for you guys." Replied the little boy.
Sally let out a sigh.
Leave it up to my mother to make such a big deal of nothing.
She thought.
"We'll wait here. In case they come back so they don't come back and go out looking for us." Sally said.
The little boy gaped at her as if noticing her just now.
"You're the princess?" The little boy asked.
She couldn't help but blush slightly. He looked at her with so much admiration and trust. It was so overwhelming knowing that people would actually count on Sally and depend on her.
"Yeah, technically I guess." She said.
The little boy rushed up to her and hugged her. She couldn't help but hug this little boy back.
"What's your name?" She asked him.
"I'm Richard, and I wanna protect you one day." He said proudly.
"How old are you Richard?" Sally asked.
"Five, but when I get older I'll be one of your guards." He replied.
Sally couldn't help but smile at this boy's words. He seemed so determined and grown up.
The commotion coming from outside snapped her out of my thoughts. It was the adults. She pickled up a familiar voice, even from far away there was no way to miss Sally's mom's annoyingly loud voice.
"If you hear anything from them let me know immediately!" She said.
Sally made out "yes your highness." From the mumbling guy besides her.
"Stop making it such a big deal!" She yelled.
Her mom was by my side almost immediately after she finished the sentence.
"Where have you been!?" The queen demanded.
"Out. I had to clear my head. Or do I have to be by your side 24/7 your highness?" Sally responded.
"I am your mother, do not speak to me like that."
"I am not a child anymore mom! Well I kinda am but I am perfectly capable of making my own decisions and thinking for myself! Let me be. I'm no some puppet you can control and shape to be an exact replica of you!" Sally shouted.
"Don't yell at me young lady."
"Dad would understand!"
"Your father died because of you so don't try to use him against me!"
Sally was greatly taken back and her mother knew she had gone too far. However, she said nothing else as her daughter ran towards the woods or as Jason ran after her. Once again, her daughter had left and she had no idea where she was going to.
Despite the disappointment and anger in the elders' faces, she carried herself with the grace and poise of a queen. She didn't believe she was being too harsh on her daughter or that she expected too much from her.
She went to the large stone building and sunk into her throne. It was rarely used but it was comfortable and she was exhausted. She asked the maid for a cup of tea and started thinking of what she was going to do next. Sally wasn't going to listen to her and it was messing everything up. Her whole life had already been planned out and she had chosen who Sally was going to rule, the whole mate thing right now was getting in the way of everything.
