Ah, yes. Another multi-chapter fic that will hopefully not take millennia to write, mostly because I plan to make it a shorter 14 chapters rather than the extensively long shit I've planned for my other fics like P6 and such.
Plus I already have to first two chapters written since I'm also cross posting this from AO3 where I initially posted it, so we'll see.
This fanfiction is based on the horror fiction podcast named Afflicted that I became really obsessed with during my spring semester of college that happened to coincide with my reignited love for My Hero Academia and the premier of Season 6.
This is a loose following of the plot of the podcast, not a word for word repeat, so if you have listened to it, that's not what this is, though if you haven't listened to it, I do recommend it. The first season was great!
There are multiple POVs, but they'll always be marked with a page break.
Here are a few notes and warnings just in case:
0. This fic contains spoilers for the anime up to season 6 and the manga for how many chapters have come out since the last time you read it. Proceed with caution.
1. The initial podcast has many characters that practice hoodoo, which is a closed practice that I am not familiar with nor am apart of myself, so I'm not going to use it here. I don't feel comfortable appropriating someone else's practice/religion, so therefore I'm using a more fictional magic system that you often hear/see on t.v. or comics.
2. There are like two real ships in this work: Dabihawks and Allerasermic, and they're not the main focus of the story. They're important, sure, but if you came looking for a lot of ships a romance, that's not what this is. If you don't like either of these ships, that's also fine just please don't bring any discourse about them.
3. Content warnings for the series! This fanfiction contains mentions, depictions, and descriptions of:
-Blood and gore
-Violence/graphic violence
