MONDAY SEPTEMBER 4. Not a word has been exchanged between Y/n and Hange since she got into their car fifteen ago. She was clearly upset over something and Hange wouldn't pry. It wasn't their business either and if Y/n wanted to talk about it in due course, they'd be there to listen. As for now, they wouldn't put her under any pressure to tell.
Y/n continues to look out of the window. It had started to drizzle a little earlier on and she watched the drops slide down the car window. She suddenly felt the need to say something as sitting in silence after Hange had come all this way for her felt rude.
Turing her body back to face the front, she says, "Thank you for coming. Sorry I called you so late though. I didn't want to interrupt you from whatever you were doing. You weren't sleeping, were you?"
It was already past ten when Y/n called which is a common time for people to crash out. She'd feel terrible if she had woken them up out of their slumber for this. She could've waited it out and called in the morning.
"No, you didn't wake me. Nights tend to be my most active time", they reassure Y/n. "Are you alright though? Whatever it is, I hope it's not too serious."
