Harper's P.O.V
We pulled up to the villa and I could definitely see how we got such a cheap price on it. It was a little dated and a little far from other villas but it came with its own private beach.
"Woooow!" Henry awed at the view, "Someone could totally be murdered here." Him and Tj laughed as I reached over and slapped his head for that comment. He started to complain getting cut off by Avery.
"Ok, ok, let get out and unpacked, we still need to go to the store before sundown."
We all started to unload out of SUV that we were stuck in for 9 hours. The boys grabbed our bags while the girls headed inside to check out the inside of the villa. The interior being much nicer than on the outside shocked me.
The walls were painted white and chandeliers hung from the ceiling, illuminating against the freshly cleaned tiled floors. Straight ahead from the front door is the living room, all furnished with white chairs and couches, a flat screen TV hanging on the wall above a fireplace. To the side of the living room, a beautifully decorated kitchen with marble countertops and a large table sat. On the website, it said that the downstairs only had one bedroom and bathroom, the rest of the bedrooms upstairs.
Astonished by the interior of the house, I walked into the living room only to be blown away once again. The right wall is nothing but glass overlooking the ocean, considering the right side of the house was partially in the water, pillars underneath to support the foundation. The sun was slowing beginning to set and I remembered that Avery had said something about going to the store before sundown.
"Hey Aves." I called out to her and she turned to face me with a questioning look. "Do you wanna head to the store with me?"
"Yeah, the rest can stay here and unpack." She joined me at the front door, both of us slipping past the boys who held all our bags in their arms. "We're going to the store, want anything specific?"
"No, but be safe." Austin shot a pointed look at me and I sighed, already knowing what was coming. "I know how she drives."
"Shut up." I narrowed my eyes at him. "It was one time. One time."
"You drove into a pole, Harp." Henry stated and I huffed, walking away as I grumbled underneath my breath.
"It was a golf cart not an actual car."
Avery threw me the keys and I caught them, both of us getting into the car. Starting the car, I drove around the loop that the driveway had and turned out onto the road.
The resort sat in the middle of nowhere so the store took a little while to get to. Surrounded by palm trees on each side, the narrow road somehow remained intact from the many storms that must've blown through. Pieces of plastic wrappers and paper bags were tossed on the sides, covering the green grass underneath it.
Despite the villa being cheap and out of the way, it was still nice. It wasn't rundown like some of the others we'd seen on the website. The private beach it came with and the affordable price for the summer which was a deal we weren't willing to pass up when searching for villas to settle into for the summer.
Avery flipped on the radio, plugging the AUX cord into her phone. She turned the dial on the radio up, increasing the volume slightly before beginning to play songs we both liked. I hadn't known Avery long, but she seemed to be one of the sweetest in the group.
Not only was Avery sweet, but she was also gorgeous. Her dark brown hair fell down her shoulders in perfect waves and her bangs hung over her shining chocolate colored eyes. She stood a little taller than me, somewhere around five-eight. Her skin was the color of caramel, contrasting her features nicely. Avery was easily one of the most gorgeous girls I'd ever seen in my lifetime.
