BEN WAS THE FIRST PERSON to awake in his dormitory, he assumed. He hadn't heard the familiar shuffling as one would attempt to wake up. To be honest, he didn't fall asleep in the first place. No matter how hard he tried to fall asleep, he couldn't, like there was a barrier. The only thought that comforted him was it being Saturday, so at least he wouldn't pass out in Transfiguration.
As Ben lay on his bed, he came to a realization. He didn't finish those letters to Lizzy and Enzo. Sure, he didn't sleep, but he spent so much attempting to fall asleep that he didn't come to think of the letters.
