ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢ: ʙᴜʟʟʏɪɴɢ, ꜱᴜɪᴄɪᴅᴇ, ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴀʀᴋ ᴜɴᴅᴇʀᴛᴏɴᴇꜱKiyori hid further into the bathroom stall, curling herself on top of the toilet, and setting her head on her knees. The girl held no emotions, even while listening to girls gossiping about her.
"Seriously, she's such a buzz-kill! Would it kill her to smile for once?"
Another girl spoke in a hushed tone, "apparently, she's been that way since was a kid! There are some girls who went to the same elementary school, and they all swear they've never see her express any emotion."
"That's so creepy! What is she? A witch?" The girls around her giggle.
Kiyori recognized all their voices. She hears them almost every day. They're her friends. Well, they were her friends.
"Do we really need to hang out with her? Why did you invite her to karaoke?" That voice belongs to Aimi, just earlier that day Kiyori was sharing her lunch with her.
"It's because Ayako Senpai asked me to hang out and be nice with her," she scoff, "Senpai said she was worried since the witch is always alone." And that voice belongs to Reiko. They always talk in the morning before Keiko helps Kiyori tie her long hair into a neat ponytail.
"Why would Senpai care for her?" Aimi asked.
"It's because Senpai is dating her older brother." She recognized that voice as Jun, she has visited her home and met Kiyori's family before.
"No way, they're related? I had no idea!" A voice she recognize as Masami exclaimed, "are you sure she's not adopted or something?" Kiyori remembers when she had lent some of her money to Masami when she was upset she didn't have enough to buy a gift for her mother.
"It's obvious Ayako senpai only cares for the witch as a favor for her boyfriend," Jun said, the others agreed with her.
"They're probably going break up soon anyways." Reiko laughed.
"Wait, if they break up will we still have to hang out with her?" Masami asked.
Kiyori patiently waited inside the stall, not once moving her position while overhearing the four girls gossiping about her. She didn't mean to eavesdrop on them. She was about to leave the stall when she heard them entering the bathroom giggling among themselves, and something compelled her to hide away.
Kiyori wished she could say she was shocked. But she can't. To be honest, a small part of her always knew. It was obvious to anyone around that Kiyori was treated as an outsider in the friend group. The only reason she stayed was because they were the only ones who were willing to talk and invite her. Her mother was so happy when she found out her daughter finally has friends.
