It's Saturday night and he's coming over for dinner... again. It's early February and I am so incredibly sick of school I could cry. These dinners are quite literally the bane of my existence but it's getting harder to enjoy life in this unbearably boring town.

I've been starting to wear more makeup hoping that maybe he'll hold his glance just a little longer. God if I could just say one full sentence to him.

I walk downstairs and notice him sipping tea on the couch. I join him and notice his eyes flash upwards to look at me as I walk by. They're warm and gentle, yet oddly piercing. We sit in silence for a few minutes, the tension and awkwardness building with every itching second.

"Dinner's ready!" I hear from the kitchen.

We set our mugs down simultaneously and he glances at me again- except this time the corner of his lips are turned upward.

I situate myself across from him at the table and start eating. The parents chatter and laugh but all I'm thinking about is his eyes on me. Why won't he talk to me?

"So... I heard there was a new family coming to town. And apparently they have a teenage boy. What do you think about that Sof?" My mom says with a special gleam in her eyes.

I turn my head to the sound of my name.

"Oh, that's... interesting," I say with a forced smile.

A new family? A boy? This could be exactly what I need. But...

"Harry. Maybe you could make a new friend," Mr. Potter says as more of a statement than a question.

Harry stops picking at his food and clears his throat. His eyes whip past me.

"Yeah... maybe."

He forces a similar smile and picks at his food some more.

"What are their names?" I'm intrigued.

"Diggory. I'm pretty sure. Isn't that sort of strange?" My mom laughs as she looks at Lily.

"What's the uh... what's the boy's name?"

My mom pauses and smirks at me before she speaks.

"Cedric. Quite pretty if you ask me."

She winks at me as she plops a grape in her mouth.

I feel a sort of electricity move through me. I hope this boy isn't like the rest. I need a new thrill; something to keep me awake. If Harry doesn't pick up the pace-

"Sofia. I- uh hi," he laughs.

I freeze and I'm pretty sure my face looks disgusted. Am I dreaming?

"Um- Hi Harry."

He laughs again and I smile in shock and confusion. He can speak?

"Um, I- what do you think of the new family? Weird huh?"

"Yeah. Um... it'll be different," I laugh awkwardly.

"Yeah, I know... well I'll see you at school."

I smile and nod my head, still in shock.

Harry spoke to me? And no one passed out on the floor?

I watch him leave with his parents and he smiles as he closes the door behind him.

I stand still for a few moments, processing what just happened. I swallow and I make my way to my room.

So Harry has a voice, he spoke to me, and I liked it.

I sit down at my bay window, my head in my knees. I bite my lip and look at the sky, the only thing on my mind being Harry. As I stare at the sky longer I notice a colorful hue coming off of the moon. It almost looks... blue?
