As soon as I entered the daycare, loud happy music was blasted at me. I don't understand how, but the air smelt like a mixture of scented markers and glitter. The daycare was actually much bigger than I expected, and it was like the perfect temperature in there. As I walked into the main room, I saw a bunch of little plastic tables for kids and stuff. There were also party rooms and gift shops lining the walls. Rainbows and other colorful decorations covered the walls, accompanied by children's drawings as well as posters promoting some candies.

I push past a few parents who seem to be more focused on talking with other adults rather than getting their kids, and look for a way to get into the main section of the daycare. I'm not exactly sure where to pick up Danny, but I assume it would be in the main room or something.

As I continue walking through the room, I pass a large golden statue of two characters in the middle of the room. One looks rather energetic with his hands thrown up in the air, and the other looks oddly... creepy... knelt over like he plans on attacking me or something.

There's a sort of fence blocking the way (probably so people don't fall and break something), but I can see the main room. It's on a floor beneath the room I'm in now. It's really colorful, and there's a bunch of slides and things for kids to climb on. There's also a lot of kids. It is very loud in here.

I look around for a staircase or something to get down to the main room, but the only one I see is really far away. And I really don't want to walk that far. A slide with a sign reading 'Slide Into Fun' catches my eye. I may be considered a little old to go down a slide, but I'm lazy and I'm pretty sure I'll fit.

I look around and make sure no one's looking, before climbing into the tube slide and going down.

The slide was actually pretty fun, despite the fact that it zapped me when I got in it. Darn plastic slides.

The colors of the slide zipped by as I went down it. Suddenly, I reach the bottom of the slide, and land into a frikin HUGE ball pit. A bunch of kids weave their ways around me as I struggle to get out of the colorful plastic spheres, which I keep sinking into the more I try.

Just as I'm about to give up and let myself be consumed by the ball pit, I feel a pair of hands grab me from under my arms and pick me up. A figure emerges from the balls as it picks me up.

"Hey there friend! Need some help?" A loud energetic voice asks.

I'm greeted face to face with a smiling sun animatronic who lifted me like I way nothing more than a couple of grapes. I instantly recognize him as one of the characters from the statue. He's around seven feet tall, and is colored bright shades of yellow. He has on orangish striped pants, and has ribbons with bells on them tied around his wrists. His face is smiling and he has blank white eyes.

To say the least, he startled me.

I just stay there silently in his grip, not being able to move or speak.

He tilts his head to the side and puts me down. Embarrassingly, the ball pit only seemed to be to knee height, so I don't know why I struggled as much as I did. "Are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost! Or like you looked directly into the sun, haha!"

I chuckle nervously. "O-oh, um, yeah heheh, sorry. I just didn't really expect to be... picked up so easily."

"Well, sorry for the scare. I'm Sundrop, but you can just call me Sun since that's what everyone calls me! I'm one of the daycare attendants! And who are you, my new friend?"

I smile as I calm down a bit. Sun may be energetic, but his friendliness rubs off on people. "My name is Y/n." I look around at the kids playing in the ball pit, and remember why I'm here in the first place. "Oh yeah, I'm supposed to pick up my brother. Have you seen a boy with blonde hair named Danny by any chance?"
