Chapter 12: The Antidote

No One's POV

Hao got Kanna, Marion, and Matilda to clean Rose, and dress her in cleaner clothes that he got for her, which he hoped she would like. Seeing she is being cared for he steps out of his tent with a serious look, he walks over to Byakko who is waiting.

"Byakko...tell me what happened."

He nods "Hai. Rose-hime and I were walking back from visiting Yoh-san, and his friends telling them the good news and on the way back home we were attacked by some insane woman. She wore a chinese outfit and used this odd hand fan that needles shot out every time she swung it. I guess one scratched her arm without her knowing. It's a paralyzing poison for animals, but for a human...it's deadly. I'm afraid she has not much time left, cause if she goes into a fever-like state death is inevitable afterward...we must find a cure."

Byakko never had a human or shaman so caring towards him, they all used him and abused him but yet one girl, named Rose Grant changed his views. Even if he does not say it he is grateful for his kindness. He finally found a master/mistress who treats him with respect and thinks of him as a friend and now he might lose that light. 

Hao was fighting control of the rage swirling inside him. Taking calming breaths in and out he called on one man who he knew would deal with the issue.

"Luchist..."

A tall and muscular man. He has a black short bowl-cut hairstyle, while he had a thick black beard around his chin and cheeks. He is wearing a black cloak, with a large scarf around his neck, and a black hat, with a wide shade and a single feather in it. Is on the right side of Hao, with one hand flat on his chest like a butler would.

"Hai, Hao-sama."

"I want you to go with Byakko to follow this...human woman, and make sure you kill her, and if you do not find her make sure you keep Byakko safe...Rosie-chan will be sad if someone took Byakko from her..."

"Hai! Come, Byakko-san... Take me to where it happened."

Byakko nods and takes off with Luchist following after him. Opacho is by Hao's side tugging on his long poncho, making Hao look down and his serious look soften seeing tears in her eyes. He bends down placing his hand on her head.

"Do not worry, Opacho-chan. Rosie-chan is strong, and I won't allow her to die...not on my watch," He stands up. "Why don't you stay by her side? She would love that."

"What about you, Hao-sama?"

He smiles with his eyes closed "I know someone that knows any poison by one taste of the poisoned blood, thankfully I put a bit of Rosie-chan's tainted blood with the poison in it. And they can make an antidote."

"Hai, please hurry though...I hate seeing Roro-chan looking in so much pain."

"Hai, I understand. Now go, let the girls know where I'm going the rest of the others will keep an eye out for any unwanted guests."
