"Boooooo....." Toptap screamed the moment the door opened hoping it would be Saint. However, what they didn't expect was the Ice Prince himself to open the door. Mew cleared his throat and nodded to Zee as he walked himself inside.
"My Bunny Baby....", Mew cooed as Saint came running to the hall from the kitchen and hugged Mew. He was wearing an apron and was cooking for them. As it was weekend, he had invited his cousins for lunch for the first time. Zee was also there.
"There you go, your Frozen watermelon juice." [A/N: Frozen Watermelon juice is Saint's favorite. Yup looked it up ;)].
Saint introduced Mew and Toptap to Zee who greeted them and walked away to collect all his work papers.
"Don't tell me, you are cooking? When did you learn how to cook?" Mew joked earning a jab from Saint. Saint was all excited proud to show off his cooking skills and was narrating the menu like a pro chef.
Toptap, on the other hand, was happy. "Fantastic. It's been a while since we had homemade food."
Mew went to the kitchen with Saint while poor Toptap was left with Zee.
"Would you like something to drink, Jirakit?" Zee asked.
"Yes, thank you. P'Zee", Toptap thanked as he sat on the couch. Zee walked to the kitchen when he saw Mew sitting on the kitchen counter, laughing and chatting with Saint. An uneasy feeling washed over him. Mew was known for being unpredictable, and though he had seen him only once during the wedding, he already began to dislike Mew.
Mew's eyes met Zee's as he sensed the judgment in Zee's gaze. It wasn't the first time he had felt this way. Mew knew he had a reputation for being impulsive and reckless, but it didn't bother him. All he cared about was his baby brother's happiness. As Zee handed the smoothie to Toptap, he tried to ignore Mew's presence.
Toptap and Zee were discussing share market at the table when Mew walked in with Saint with the dishes. Mew looked at them and at Saint rolling his eyes which earned a glare from Saint to shut up.
Saint started pouring apple juice in glasses when Mew asked. "Where is your Watermelon juice?"
"Oh, Zee likes coconut smoothie", Saint happily said not noticing how Mew was drilling his eyes on Zee. [A/n: Yup, Zee like coconut smoothies...looked that up too ;)]
"Saint, could you bring me the pickle?", Zee asked. This didn't go by Mew who was annoyed by (A) Saint getting up like a faithful servant and (B) Zee who cannot move his lazy ass and get his pickle himself.
"How's the food?" Saint asked waiting for a review from the food critics aka cousins.
"Tastes just like Aunt Charunee's cooking", Mew quipped that made Saint shut up and scowl at Mew. Mew looked at Toptap and they began laughing. Everyone in their family knew Saint's mother was a bad cook and that's one of the reasons they had a maid to cook for them.
Mew and Toptap were laughing too much to Zee's annoyance.
"So, Mew, where are your parents?" The entire room was silent for a moment. This was a sensitive topic and never discussed. Toptap and Saint knew it would pain Mew and they made it a point never to bring it up.
"Oh...why Saint, you didn't tell him about our family history? My parents are divorced." Mew looked at Saint and said calmly to Zee, his voice cold to meet Zee's stare.
Zee coolly nodded, "Okay. Where are they now?" The question was met with another deadly silence. He looked at Saint and Toptap who looked down and at each other.
