"Looks like everything is okay, nothing's broken. And they put your knee back in place well. So just stay off of it as much as you can for the next week." The doctor says.

"I have shows Saturday and Sunday." Demi replies.

"Well, if you have matches I think you need to cancel those. I'm sorry I know it's not what you want to hear but when it pops out once it's easy to pop out again for a little while after."

Demi nods but frowns. The doctor excuses himself to write up the discharge paperwork as a nurse comes in with a knee brace to put on her.

Emma is sitting next to her and reaches for her hand again, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"At least you'll be better by Raw next week." She offers.

"But I love doing the supershows. I'm such an idiot."

Frowning, Emma stands from the chair and sits next to Demi on the bed. She turns her head away.

"Demi look at me." Emma says.

When she doesn't, she grabs Demi's chin and turns her head to face her.

"It's two shows that you can still attend. You just can't wrestle. And you are not an idiot. Not in the slightest. It could have happened to anyone."

Demi sighs and nods.

"I just don't like letting my MosherZ down."

Emma lets go of her chin and uses her knuckle to wipe tears from Demi's cheeks.

"You're not letting them down. If you went out there and did your matches while you were hurt and hurt yourself more? Then they'd be upset. But you know they'll want you to recover first."

Demi smiles a little and takes Emma's hand again. She looks in her eyes and sees nothing but Demi's softness staring back at her. No sign of Rhea fighting against her. Just sad, sweet eyes. She leans down, slowly, and hovers over Demi, hesitating. She watches as her lips part. Waiting, expecting.

Suddenly the door opens again and the doctor comes back in with the discharge papers. He's followed by Damian who looks at the position the two are in and raises an eyebrow.

Emma leans back again and clears her throat as Demi signs the papers. She looks at Damian who is looking back at her with a look of question written on his face. She feels her cheeks flush as the doctor leaves the room again.

"Come, princesa. Let's get you back to the hotel."

He helps Demi off the bed and wraps an arm around her. Emma rushes to her other side and loops an arm in hers as they help her out to the Uber waiting outside.

"I sent the others on ahead. Dom was complaining about being hungry." He chuckles.

Demi laughs a little for the first time and shakes her head.

"Of course he was." She says as they help her into the Uber.

Damian stops Emma from getting in and whispers, "why don't you take her. I'll see you guys on the plane tomorrow."

"You sure?" Emma asks.

Damian nods and says goodnight before Emma gets into the car next to Demi and shuts the door. She smiles at her as the driver takes them to the hotel.

"Priest didn't want to come?" She asks.

"He wanted you to get some rest and since I'm right next door it just made sense." Emma smiles.

Demi nods and looks out the window. Emma can tell she's still upset about being injured. If only she could help her understand it could have been so much worse. She hates seeing Demi upset.

Once they arrive at the hotel, Emma helps Demi from the car and wraps a tight arm around her waist. She slowly helps her to her room.

"Where's your key?" She asks.

"Fuck. It's in my bag I think I left it at the hospital." Demi replies.

"No worries. I'll see if one of the boys will go back for it. For now you can just stay in my room."

"No I don't want to be a bother." She says quietly.

"Nonsense. This way I can keep a closer eye on you too. Make sure you rest."

Demi sighs in defeat and nods. Emma scans her keycard on the door to unlock it and helps Demi inside. She guides her to the bed, pulls back the covers and helps her sit down. She grabs her legs and gently lifts them, putting them onto the bed so Demi doesn't have to swing her hurt leg.

Emma then covers her up with the sheets and comforter before grabbing the remote off the nightstand. She goes to hand it to Demi but notices her staring back at her with confusion.

"What's wrong?" Emma asks and sits on the edge of the bed next to her.

"You totally just tucked me in." Demi says.

Emma smiles a little and shrugs, "yeah I guess I did."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure. Anything."

"Why are you sticking around after what Rhea did to you in that closet?" Demi asks.

Emma sighs and looks down at the remote before looking back up at Demi.

"Because that wasn't you. I'm not going anywhere and Rhea can get over herself and realize that."

Demi opens her mouth to say something but a look flashes in her eyes. They twitch as she fights with herself. Fights with Rhea. Emma reaches out and takes her hand.

"Don't let her come out. Not tonight. She's already had her turn. Focus on me. Stay with me Demi." Emma says.

She's still struggling though. She can't even speak because she's trying so hard not to let Rhea through. It has to be exhausting fighting like this all the time.

Emma gets an idea. She caresses Demi's cheek and looks in her eyes. They soften a little at her touch, but she's still struggling.

Deciding to go for it, Emma leans down and presses her lips to Demi's. She kisses her softly but firm enough to show she's there. Not going anywhere. Not letting Rhea win. Their eyes shut as Demi calms down, kissing back as she squeezes Emma's hand.

When Emma finally pulls back, she smiles at the light that has returned to Demi's eyes. The light she so badly wanted to see again.

But then that light fades. The happiness disappears and she yanks her hand away, sitting up quickly in the bed. What she does next shocks Emma to her core.

She slaps her hard, square across the face.
