The charity dinner moved onto the Bachelorette charity auction. Ami went to the stage to speak. Bruce stood with Loki and Bucky.
"Good evening, everyone. Welcome to the Annual Wayne Charity Gala. Tonight, we are raising money for the Widows and Orphans fund." Ami was about to continue when she was suddenly jerked down as a shot pierced through her shoulder.
Loki's eyes widened as Bucky turned, looking around to see where the shot came from. People were running around.
Bruce quickly ran to the stage, his eyes widening. "Talia?"
Talia nodded and stabilized Ami as she put pressure on the wound in Ami's shoulder. "Bruce, look, she's in danger. They think she can bring out Batman. There is a bounty on her head."
Bruce nodded, pulling out his phone and dialing a number.
Loki and Bucky made their way to Ami. Bucky looked at Talia.
"Who?" He kept a grip on Loki, who was petting Ami's hair upset.
"Rogue's Gallery."
Bucky growled, then looked down, hearing Ami whimper.
At SHIELD
Nick was in a meeting with the Avengers when Maria quickly walked in.
"Sir, it's important."
"What is it, Hill?" Nick asked as the Avengers looked at her. She normally didn't interrupt meetings or look panicked like she did.
"It's Batman."
Nick raises a brow. "Why is he calling me?"
"He said it's Angel."
Nick quickly transferred the call, not caring that the Avengers were in the room. "What the fuck happened?"
"She was shot. It's bad, Nick, and it's something I have no cure for."
Nick looked at Maria and made the motion for a jet. "I'll have Coulson and Hill meet you along with Dr. Banner."
"She's got a hit out on her. What about the b..."
"They will come. I know they won't leave her side. I'll make sure she is safe."
"See you soon."
Nick hung up and looked at Bruce. "Go with Hill and Coulson. Take a full med kit. Hill grab the medical jet."
Maria nodded, escorting Bruce out.
The rest of the Avengers looked at Nick.
"I need you guys to help protect the asset coming in."
"Who is it?" Natasha asked curiously.
Clint could tell right away what the asset was to Nick. "You're daughter?"
Nick nodded.
