I walked out of his cabin to see Jack in front of Will who two pirates were holding. "Send this pestilent traitorous cow-hearted yeasty codpiece to the brig," Jack said. He even looked hurt that Will had betrayed us. "Y/n, I'm sorry," he said, knowing I would be upset with him. I pulled my sleeve and then my shirt aside a little to show him the two new brands. "You should be." I spat at him. I walked with Jack to the helm. "We've got to go to Shipwreck Cove," I told him. "I know. Will being a traitor gives us a little problem," he muttered back to me. He had snaked his arm around my waist and I leaned into his touch. "Gibbs, take the wheel. I have some business to attend to," Jack shouted. "Aye," he said walking over to the helm and taking over. Jack's arm remained around my waist, tugging us down the steps and into his cabin. He shut the door behind him and quickly kissed my lips before pulling out 2 bottles of rum. He gave one to me and kept one for himself. "Who are you betraying this time?" I asked waiting for him to speak. "I don't know what you mean, love," he said sheepishly. "Sure," I smirked at him. "When we go to Shipwreck Cove, you have to stand as a pirate lord. I'm sure that people will want to declare war on Beckett and his ilk. When that happens they'll have to vote for pirate king." he explained. "Okay, why isn't there a current king?" I asked, "Each pirate only votes for his or herself." he said. "Oh right. So you want me to vote for you so you can become pirate king?" I asked, drinking some of the rum. "No, I want you to vote for yourself. I will vote for you as well and I trust you to make the right choice." Jack replied. This was odd. It was an unusual sincere moment from Jack. He had an expression I had only seen maybe once before. It was trusting and genuine. "Are you sure?" I asked, shocked. "Absolutely," He said. "Well then, my dear Captain, I will do my best," I put on a regal posh accent to say that making him chuckle. "Aye, that you will," He replied. "How long do you think it will take Will to get out of the brig?" I asked, sipping on my rum. "I suspect he's already out," Jack responded casually, "That slimy bastard. I'll go raise the alarm," I started to walk out but stopped when I felt a hand on my wrist. "Don't. He can't exactly go anywhere. Why leave when you can be here?" he smirked. "Why don't you persuade me, Jack?" I asked, teasing him. "You wouldn't be able to resist me, my charm is too powerful," he joked back. I laughed and carried on drinking my rum.
We carried on like this for a couple of hours. It started to get dark outside. "We've been here for hours, don't you have a ship to captain?" I joked, glancing out the window. "I most certainly do. However, I am waiting to emerge until the opportune moment," He smiled, "You and your opportune moments," I shook my head, laughing. I sat down on the desk. "My opportune moments are key to every plan, love," he protested light-heartedly. "Oh, I never doubted you, Jack. I never doubted your methods but what might this opertune moment be?" I asked, "The moment when we catch Will which will be around now," He jumped up and slid his arm around my waist, dragging me off the desk and going with him. "Where will we find the treacherous git?" I asked slight venom in my voice. "Easy, love. We just have to go to the bow before he does," he explained, opening the doors and pulling me through them. It was a warm night, a slight breeze washed over me. He led me across the ship to the bow, making me climb the bowsprit and walk along it. "Jack, you know how awful my bal-" I stopped and squeaked as my foot slipped making him grab me around my ribs to stop me plummeting to the water below. "Thanks," I said quietly and a little embarrassed that I had squeaked like that. He only nodded at me and laid, perfectly balanced on the wood. I held onto some ropes for dear life, knowing what awaited me if I fell. We waited for a couple of minutes until Will appeared. He had bodies and barrels and rope with him. How odd. I looked at Jack, waiting for a sign to make my presence known. He shook his head. Will tied bodies to the barrels and one by one threw them in the ocean at various intervals. Me and Jack still sat perched in the mast trying to figure out what he was doing. We waited for about half an hour making my leg start to cramp up. Then he gave me a look, showing that it was time to get into action.
