"Papa! im home!" I echoed trough the front door of our house, shutting it hard from behind me.
I shuffled to the end of the floor and hang my jacket and rucksack on a stand.
As I stepped upstairs, i shouted again,
"papa? 家に居る?" *le ni iru?* *are you home?*
Weird. The to do list that was written on a small dashboard, placed in our living room, sayed that dad was getting home early.
I shrugged and went to my room, as i fell down to bed.
I sighed..
Kaito doesn't want to let me be! Ugh..now what am i gonna do?
It's not like i hate kaito. But his timing just couldn't be more worse as it is is right now.
-phone ring-
I tried to grab my phone from the little circle shaped table and picked up the call.
"Hello?" "Hey ayame. Wanted to check up on you" "You wanted to ask me about kaito didn't you." "Yes. Am i getting that predictable?" "You always are. Atleast for me" I sighed and stood up straight on my bed "Anyways..yes, i did talk to him" i sayed. "OoOoO" she echoed in a teasing voice. I rolled my eyes. "What happened? what did you say? Or, most importantly, What did he say??" she daggered me with questions.
"Whoa stop there! i didn't went well...I told him what's on my heart and he was all like 'Noooo i'm not gonna do it' and that's it.."
"Ayame what did you say."
"I told him to stay away from me."
"..."
"Athena? hello-"
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR STUPID MIND AYAME I SWEAR TOMORROW IN SCHOOL THE SECOND I CATCH YOU YOU WILL-"
"WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING INTO THE PHONE?"
"I DONT KNOW WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING INTO THE PHONE?"
"YOU START-...whatever..let's change the subject please."
"fine. Hey wanna go out to dinner. I'm starvinggg"
"Athena we were on dinner just yesterday.."
"So? i need my food. And you're my best friend Come on ayame please!"
"Fine..i gotta ask my dad tho..btw he didn't show up yet. Great excuse to call him! Be right back."
"Alright."
I hung up and called my dad.
"Hello?"
"Papa?
"Ayame what is it i'm gonna be in a meeting in less then 10 minutes!"
"Why aren't you home? i thought your gonna be-"
"I went out earlier. Due to the meeting. What is it now? did you call me only to know why i wasn't home?"
"Weeell...not quite..can i go out with athena to dinner?"
"Sure. Be back before 23pm you know the rules"
"Yes papa..Gotta hang up. Love you."
"Bye ayame."
He hung up. Gosh 'i love you too' would have just been to much to ask for i guess.

I Drove to athena's house, and she soon got in the car.
"Geez it's freezing outside." she said, rubbing her hands and closing the door behind her. "Fall is here." i said, happy. She looked at me confused. "Why so happy?" "Fall makes me happy." "How?" "Just look outside. It's so comforting."
She looked around from all the windows "I don't see it. Must be the summer girl in me." I rolled my eyes "Maybe because of how the partying animal in you awakes in the time bracket of july and august.
"Guilty." athena shrugged and smiled at me
I laughed and started driving, while finding it difficult to choose a song from my phone at the same time.
"Let me choose one" said athena "Sure." i nodded
She scrolled down and up
"Your playlist exists 99.9% of taylor swift songs man, i wanted to play sweater weather because it suits the season!"
"hey taylor is the best okay? just put a song already!"
"Fine...your so stubborn."
Stubborn...
"Kaito is stubborn" i scoffed Wait. Did i say that out loud?
Athena gasped and looked at me.
"He is?! Wow you know ur future husband well ayame" she clapped with her hands "That means your practically soulmates because your stubborn and he's stubborn"
"Stop being delusional" i rolled my eyes
"You'll understand when he asks you to be his girlfriend."
I sighed but could not help but smile a bit. I wonder if he ever would ask me to be his girlfriend. Not that i care. Obviously.
