It was a pretty well-known fact to those who knew Kusuo that his kryptonite would be anything sweet and there was just a selected few who were aware what lengths he'd go through just to make sure that he'd get his psychic hands on whatever pastry or delights he found to be delicious.
One of the few who knew of that fact was y/n who just so happened to sacrifice her dignity because Kusuo wanted to taste a cafe's limited edition white day cake. Though it was her that suffered just to satisfy Kusuo's sweet tooth, she had to admit that he looked cute whenever he ate anything remotely sweet.
It was as if he looked like he wasn't capable of destroying the whole universe with a single sneeze.
That was a long time ago... It was actually three months ago and at the present time, y/n was accompanying Kusuo — A female Kusuo at that one, to a cafe that exclusively served a sweets buffet to female customers. If only takeout was available, Kusuo would've oh-so politely asked y/n to order but since it was strictly for dine-in only, he had no choice but to change his gender for the time he'd be at the cafe.
"Why are you thinking of me destroying the universe by sneezing?" Kusuo asked, eyes judging y/n in every way possible.
y/n tried to act dumb as she avoided Kusuo's gaze, whistling as if nothing was happening in her head. "Oh nothing... Just you know..." She laughed it off, still avoiding Kusuo.
She sometimes forgets to remember that Kusuo was psychic; that he was able to hear each and every intrusive thought that entered her mind. Still, she was glad that Kusuo wasn't around to hear her thoughts about—
"I heard you thinking about mass-murdering those who collected the eyes of your friend's clan, but don't worry, that stays between the two of us."
Eyes widened, y/n became worried. Though Kusuo said that it would stay between them, it makes her wonder just what other intrusive thoughts he caught wind of. "I... I really should wrap my aura around my head when I start having intrusive thoughts." She muttered, referring to the fact that she could hide her thoughts from Kusuo with Nen, though she avoided that because she knew Kusuo would be uncomfortable.
As weird as it was that y/n was letting Kusuo into her mind though she had the chance to avoid it, but that's just how y/n wanted things to be. "But make sure that it really stays between the two of us, understand?" She pointed her finger at herself then at female Kusuo.
Kusuo nodded. The line then moved a little as the cafe finally let in a few customers.
"Why would I even think of telling people that? It's basically the same as telling them that I'm a psychic and that's just plain stupid." He retorted.
Yet again, the line managed to move and as much as Kusuo wanted to avoid his classmates, it was pretty much inevitable for them to cross paths especially since they were next to each other in line.
