Chapter 11-"Candypalooza"

[Fionna & Jake's Treehouse, Grasslands.]

At the tree of house of the two humans and talking dog, Y/N laid on couch in the living area of the treehouse, staring up at the ceiling and relaxing after what transpired yesterday at Marceline's house. He smiles to himself, about how he and Ice Queen at least managed to make their little vampire girl happy in a long time after a disastrous start at first.

Of course, he didn't know a war transpired back then that lead to where the world is now, memories of his were still dormant inside his head. Who knows what kind of memories he had and how many there are due to his long immortal life... Many secrets to be uncovered.

He sighs and gets up, turning his attention to the dragon egg on the table next to him. It's been like that for awhile, unmoving but he can feel that the dragon inside was still kicking.

Y/N: "Damn, you're really taking your time, huh? (Touches the egg) Hm, looks like you need a little more heat."

Y/N leans closer towards the egg and breathes out fire from his mouth, heating up his child inside some more after he read in a book on how dragon mothers would breathe fire onto their eggs to heat them up more, keeping their child inside alive and not cold. He pulls back and puts his hand on the egg, staring at it more.

Y/N: "I can't believe I'm gonna raise another kid for the first time in this life.. First Marceline, second Pepbutt, and now... you."

He chuckles, thinking how weird it's gonna be for him to raise another child again after so long. Y/N looks out the nearby window and see the Candy Kingdom in the distance, the Candypalooza currently almost done with construction.

Y/N: "I wonder how's Bonnie doing.."

[Candy Kingdom.]

Inside of her bedroom, Bubblegum can be seen laying in bed on her stomach, looking at the screen of her candy laptop, moving her legs back and forth as she hums a little tune. On the laptop screen were pictures of Y/N and her together when they were together many years ago that they took with an old camera. She managed to recover the thing and transferred all the data and photos onto her laptop.

She lets out a sigh of sadness in her voice as she scrolls through the photos, showing a couple like one with Y/N giving her a piggyback ride, another with Bubblegum struggling to lift her man into the air as he laughed at her attempt, and a last one with Y/N and Bubblegum posing together with a baby Peppermint Butler like they were family.

Bubblegum: "Oh Y/N, why did we go so wrong...?"

Bubblegum checks the cameras and sees the outside of the kingdom where the Candypalooza is still being built, nearly almost finished with the Peppermint Butler overlooking the entire operation in her place down below. She smiles in seeing how things are going well and thinks it's about time she asks Y/N to come here for the festival, reaching over to her drawer and picking up a phone as Bubblegum dials in his number.

Bubblegum: "Hmm, I wonder what Y/N's doing right now.."

She finishes dialing his number and puts the phone next to her ear, waiting for her lost love to pick up as she plays with her pink hair.

Meanwhile, Y/N's little flip phone is seen on the floor before it starts to ring, a little ringtone playing as it vibrates. After a bit, a grey hand reaches over and picks the phone up, the hand belonging to Marceline, now in some new clothes... Well, it was more just a large t-shirt and underwear underneath.
