Omar's POV
I wake up on the floor, feeling sick. My eyes squinted at the LED lights above me, still confused of why I am here. I hear a door creak open, and I got up to look at the door. It was another guy; blue hair, futuristic goggles and what seems to be an engineer clothing.
He greets me, "You're awake! Thank god, you don't feel weird right? No sharp pain anywhere?"
I look at him confused, but replied "No? I don't feel anything bad?"
The guy sighed in relief and put his hand out, "I am Blu, or Brian if thats easier."
I grab on to his hand as he helped me up to my feet, "I'm Omar. Can you explain where I am?"
I say while I look around the room.
The room was a mess; the windows were bordered up, the desks were scattered with papers and folders and a broken computer laid in the corner of the room.
Brian started to explain, "This site is currently in lockdown. A latex infection has broken out of here, and most of the site has been took over by these creatures. We found you nearby the poolrooms, surprised you haven't been infected at all."
I stare at him in disbelief,
"I'm stuck in here? Wait, how long have this site been locked down for?"
"We think about a week or two by now, we aren't sure." Brian says, "Say, do you even remember how you got here?"I shrug, "I'm not sure, I don't remember anything at all."
Brian sighs, "Well, glad your awake. You can help us out."
"To escape?" I reply.
"Precisely." Brian turn to look outside of the bordered windows, "We have found out about some drill parts being somewhere nearby us from some other survivors."
"How come you haven't gotten them yet?" I ask.
Brian turns to me, "They got infected, we know the general area. Just not where the parts are exactly."
"Oh."
Brian turns back to the window,
"We just need 4 bags of these drill parts. Attach them to the wall and we are out scot free."
I look at his back, "How do you know it's freedom?"
Brian turns to me once more,
"I worked here man, course I know all the insides and outsides of this place"
He smiled at me.
"I know this probably a lot to take in, but you are down to help right?"I looked at him, "I don't think I got a choice, I'll help the best I can."
I smiled back.
"Nice!" Brian exclaims, "I should probably introduce you to the others."
He grabs my shoulder, and guides me to the slightly opened door. We opened it, and I stepped into what could be my last time seeing another human ever.
