Roseanne's POV:

When I left Chaeyoung's room, the only thing on my mind was the conversation she had with Jisoo. It made me feel so upset. Chaeyoung tends to treat girls like they're her little toys, and I didn't want her to treat Y/N like one of them. She just lost her parents—the least Chaeyoung could do is show some empathy.

Unable to stop thinking about it, I walked to Y/N's room. I knocked on the door but got no response, so I opened it. There she was, wearing a long backless white dress. Her figure was flawless, and the way the dress revealed her back made her look even more stunning than the first time I saw her.

"Chaeyoung, can you please leave my room? I'm not in the mood to have any sort of conversation with you right now," she said with a serious tone.

"Y/N, I'm not Chae. I'm Roseanne, and I came here to check up on you."

"Oh really? Your sister came to check up on me too earlier, but she ended up on my lap. Weird, isn't it?" she replied sarcastically, still upset.

I decided to keep calm due to the situation. "About that, I want to apologize for my sister's behavior."

"It's okay. It's between me and her, so don't worry about it."

I moved closer to Y/N, catching a whiff of her strong and sweet perfume. "I know, but I don't like what she did to you, so I really want to apologize."

She looked at me with a neutral expression and then walked towards the door. I understood she was upset, but I wanted to try my best to keep things in place. With Chaeyoung playing her little games, it would be difficult.

"Y/N, please understand," I continued. "I want to make sure you're okay. I know it's been hard for you, and I just want you to know that I'm here for you, regardless of what my sister does."

She paused for a moment, her hand on the doorknob, and then turned to face me. "I appreciate your concern, Roseanne. But right now, I just need some space."

"I understand. Just know that if you need anything, I'm here," I said softly, hoping she would find some comfort in my words.

She gave a slight nod and then opened the door, signaling that our conversation was over. As I left her room, I couldn't shake the feeling of frustration. Chaeyoung's actions were making things difficult, but I was determined to be there for Y/N in any way I could.

Chaeyoung's POV:

I got out of the shower and wrapped myself in a towel. As I walked to my room to choose an outfit for dinner, I was surprised to see Y/N sitting on my bed, looking out of the window.

"Y/N, what are you doing here?!" I exclaimed, not expecting her presence.

She stood up and walked towards me. In a matter of seconds, our faces were close to each other, and I could smell her vanilla perfume—my favorite scent.

"Well, I'm here to get my payback, Chaeyoung unnie," she said with a teasing smile.

"Unnie? Are you trying to provoke me?" I asked, feeling a mix of confusion and excitement.

"Is it working?" she asked, her eyes roaming over the parts of my body not covered by the towel.

"Hell yeah," I responded, pulling her by the waist and pressing our lips together. I could taste her cherry lip gloss, making her lips soft and irresistibly kissable.

I moved my kisses to her neck, and she let out a soft moan.

"Chae, I really like you," she whispered.

"Wait, did you just call me Chae? How do you even know my nickname?" I asked, puzzled.

"Well, unnie, maybe it's because you're dreaming."

Suddenly, I woke up, disoriented and confused. I felt something on top of me and rubbed my eyes, only to see her.

"Hey unnie, did you sleep well?" Y/N asked with a playful grin.

I blinked in disbelief, my mind still reeling from the vivid dream. "What...what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to check on you," she said, her smile softening. "You seemed pretty out of it , or you think I couldn't smell the alcohol on your breath when your kissed me?"

"Y/N, I'm sorry about earlier," I began, still trying to shake off the remnants of the dream.

"It's okay, Unnie. Let's just move forward," she replied, her eyes holding a mixture of understanding and something deeper.

I nodded, grateful for her presence and her words. But something seemed off. It was as if she had undergone a personality switch. Instead of being upset, she was calm and acted like the kiss had meant nothing.

"Y/N, are you okay?" I asked, trying to gauge her mood.

"Of course, unnie," she replied with a serene smile. "Why do you ask?"

"It's just... earlier, you seemed really upset. And now, you're acting like nothing happened," I said, searching her eyes for any sign of what she was truly feeling.

She shrugged lightly. "I realized there's no point in dwelling on it. Chaeyoung's actions don't define me, and I won't let them ruin my day."

Her words were logical, but her tone was almost too nonchalant. It made me uneasy.

"Still, I want to make sure you're really okay," I insisted.

She reached out and squeezed my hand. "I appreciate that, Roseanne. Really, I do. But I promise, I'm fine."

I nodded again, deciding not to press further. Maybe she really had come to terms with it, or maybe she was putting on a brave face. Either way, I had to respect her way of coping.
