Chapter 3.

"Happy birthday baby girl." that was my uncle handing me the keys to my new black Audi R8 v10 plus and let me tell you I stood there in awe, I didn't know what to say, this right here is my dream car. My family has all sort of cars but they chose not to have this one since I was like really in love with it, I remember begging  grandma to buy it but she always said no and I always wondered why but now I know they were saving it for  my birthday. "Bab omncane, I can't believe this." I screamed jumping in his arms. "Thank you, thank you so much." I was never one to celebrate my birthday but this right here is going to make me celebrate it every year. "Can I take it for a spin, I promise I'll be careful." I said praying he said yes. "Of course baby, just don't go over the speed limit." He said and I nodded knowing exactly I was about to go over the speed limit. Who obeys the rules of the road when you can just out run the cops. "Thank you so much." I gave him one last hug before I hopped in my brand new car and drove off.

I decided I was going to pick Amanda up since she lived a few houses from mine. I called her and told her that I was about to pull through to pick her up and the moment I pulled through outside her gate she came out wearing some denim shorts and a white crop top. We were matching cause I also had the same outfit and some flops. The moment she laid her eyes on my car she jumped up and down like it was hers but that were my friends for you. We knew how to be happy for each other without being jealous. "Oh My God, we have a new ride!" She screamed running to the car. She first circled it screaming like a maniac, I guess her neighbors were used to her crazy ass that's why they ain't never show up or peak on what was going on, she first took loads of pictures of the car before she opened the passenger's seat and got in. "Oh my God!" She yelled taking in the inside of the car. "Let take a selfie." She said taking out her iPhone from her pocket once more and she clicked tons and tons of pictures of us. "I'm posting these pictures on Instagram." She said and typed away on her phone. "Done." she said now looking at me. "So where to birthday girl?" she asked and I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. Let just let this car lead us." I said and just like that I sped off. We drove around blasting loud gqom music till we ended up at the beach and we couldn't miss the stares the car got. "Amanda, I have something to tell you." I said rolling the down windows allowing the sea breeze to hit our face. I knew soon or later I had to tell my friends about my relationship status with Drew before the tabloids beat me to it. "Okay please tell me you are going to book the whole club for your 18th birthday party." She said but I rolled my eyes. "No, I'm not booking no club." I said and that's when disappointment graced her face. "Oh come on M, you only turn 18 once." I still shook my head no. "That's not gonna happen but I do need to tell you something important about me and Dr-" I was cut off by her phone ringing and she looked it than showed me Karen's name that was flashing on her phone before she answered. "Karen." she answered lazily and than kept quiet listening to whatever Karen was saying. "You lying!" She sounded shocked and than looked at me like I did something now I couldn't wait for her to get off the phone. "Yeah she's over here. I don't think she has seen it though. Look Karen let me call you back."  she hung up and than got busy on her phone ignoring my presence and I'm out here anxious to hear what is it that Karen just told her. "If you find someone that makes you see the world in a whole different light make sure you keep them. Meeting you has been the greatest ordeal of my life. Happy birthday baby." Amanda read out whatever she was reading. "Did you write a message for me?" I asked with this confused look but she laughed. "No but Drew did on his Instagram page. He just Instagram officialed you." She said and that's when I snatched her phone not believing a word she just said but there it was. It was a picture of me wearing one of his many baseball jackets, I clearly wasn't paying attention cause I don't even remember him taking this picture of me. "Oh my God." I couldn't believe what I was seeing, why would he do this? We barely been dating a month and now he has me  splattered on his 45 million followers Instagram page. "So how long have you guys been dating?" Amanda asked now taking her phone from me. "2 weeks now." I spoke softly and she opened her mouth in shock. "I've been meaning to tell you guys but than I didn't know how." I said honestly, everytime I wanted to tell them Priya would be there so I held back because I didn't want to break my best friend's heart. "Well Drew just told the whole world about you." She said and I swear I felt some tingles inside, did this mean this guy was really serious about being with me? Am I even ready to be in the spotlight like that?  "You guys sure make a nice couple." She gushed showing me another picture that Drew just posted. We were kissing and we had these goofiest smiles plastered on our lips. "You guys are so beautiful. I'm jealous and tons of ladies are jealous, you should see the comments." she said still admiring us. I guess the cat is out of the bag now, I just have to face the music now. Starting with Priya.
